Description

Hawthorn Cottage is part of a recently converted steading building set within stunning farm land in the Highlands just off the North Coast 500 tourist route. One of four properties, the cottage has been renovated and furnished to a very high standard with an open plan lounge/dining area and a modern fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, freezer. Downstairs there is a large modern bathroom with shower. On the first floor there is a double bedroom (with zip and link beds) and a twin. The cottages stand in farm land surrounded by beautiful peaceful scenery and have their own parking, garden furniture and a shed for bikes - a barbecue is available for guests' use. All bedding and towels are included, as is all power and heating.Fishing is available in two small lochs on the owners land at no extra cost (please ask for details) and there are plenty of walks from your doorstep. Keep your eyes open in the evening and morning as the red deer gather in the fields just near the house, osprey fish in the two small lochs and otters live in the burn nearby. There are also foxes, red legged partridges, hares and ducks on the ponds.Invergordon is about 2 miles away for shopping, and there are numerous distilleries, golf courses, walks etc. to keep you busy.Booked together with Juniper Cottage, Woodpeckers Nest, The Foxes Den or Heathfield House, a larger party could be accommodated. Invergordon is regularly visited by cruise ships from around the world as it has one of the deepest natural harbours in the area.
