Description

Just off the North Coast 500 tourist route and standing in beautiful quiet countryside on a private lane, Heathfield House is the traditional farmhouse for Heathfield Farm, and has been updated and extended sympathetically. Down stairs there is a large modern kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer and plenty of storage, a large louge with dining area, small sun room with seating to look at the view or read a book, downstairs modern family bathroom and two double bedrooms, both with king size beds and ensuite shower rooms. On the first floor there is a twin bedroom and a single bedroom and a modern shower room. Free Wi-Fi is available.Outside there is plenty of parking and a garden with table and chairs and on your door step are acres of land to walk and explore - keep your eyes open in the evening and morning as the red deer gather in the fields just near the house, osprey fish in the two small lochs and otters live in the burn nearby. There are also foxes, red legged partridges, hares and ducks on the ponds.Fishing is available in two small fully stocked lochs on the owners land at no extra cost (please ask for details) and there are plenty of walks from your doorstep.Invergordon is about 2 miles away for shopping, and there are plenty of distilleries, golf courses, walks etc. to keep you busy and is a regular stopping off point for the cruise ships, as it boasts one of the deepest natural harbours in Europe.Booked together with Hawthorn Cottage, Woodpeckers Nest, The Foxes Den or Juniper Cottage, a larger party could be accommodated.

“Family Holiday”

Reviewed 16 Aug 2018

The farmhouse was very clean. It was modern but full of character. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We enjoyed walking around one of the lochs. The check in and and check out was very straightforward. It was a family holiday and we all enjoyed our stay and will be back again. Highly recommended.

Response from the manager Thank you for your lovely review. We are glad you enjoyed the lochs, the paths are a new addition and are proving very popular for walks. We look forward to seeing you again in the future hopefully.
