This 18th century detached cottage has been renovated to a very high specification by the owners who live just up the road and has kept all of its charm and character. It is located in the very quiet and beautiful village of Abbots Morton but is close to local amenities with nearby good quality restaurants, pubs and farm shops selling high quality local produce from neighbouring farms. It is situated within a short driving distance to world famous Stratford Upon Avon, historic Warwick (with the best castle in Europe), Leamington Spa (famous for its splendid array of independant shops), Cheltenham (the jewel in the UK's racing crown) and Worcester with its fine Cathedral.

“CARTREF Cottage”

Reviewed 9 Aug 2016

My wife and I stayed in the cottage for two weeks together with our son, daughter in law and two grandchildren aged 8 and 11 years old. I found the property to be in excellent decorative order and very welcoming. The kitchen is roomy, modern and well equipped. My wife and I stayed in the downstairs bedroom, the bed being very comfortable and the ensuite rather quaint as it appeared to be in a cupboard but perfectly adequate. Cupboard space perhaps could have been a bit bigger. The master bedroom has a very comfortable bed but is without wardrobe space, the family bathroom is very modern and pleasing. Our two grandchildren shared and loved the twin bedroom, especially the view from the roof window. The gardens are a joy to sit in and are totally enclosed for privacy. The owner Will Adams lives up the lane and is available to attend to any concerns, he made us very welcome and offered the use of his garden trampoline for our boys. The Village of Abbots Morton is very pretty and peacefull and I have no regrets in staying at this location.

“Cartref is an ideal house and a perfect base for exploring the delights of the area.”

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this characterful house with its spacious and secure gardens. Local pubs provided quality food both inside and out. Nearby Hillers' Farm Shop provided for top notch home cooking especially their own pork sausages. Pipers Hill and Trench Wood Nature Reserves with lovely walks are within easy striking distance and well worth a visit.
