Description from owner

Description

Situated in the historic village of Hunmanby, nestled between the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds and the traditional seaside towns of Filey & Scarborough, Lucasland is unique accommodation sleeping up to 18 guests.

Lucasland is made up of 3 barn conversions which have been sympathetically restored and renovated into 3 self contained cottages within their own private courtyard boasting a Hot Tub, private pub, lawn and patio area with a brick built BBQ. The cottages boast many original features such as beamed ceilings & chalk walls, along with all the comforts of modern living.

All 3 cottages are to be let together and can even be let in conjunction with Denmark House, a detached property just a stones throw away, to provide accommodation for up to 26 people! See the Lucasland Holiday Complex listing! With or without the addition of Denmark House, Lucasland lends itself ideally to family gatherings & celebrations!

Reached by a private gated entrance and surrounding a communal courtyard in a residential area, each cottage sleeps 6 and is made up of the following;

- 1 x en-suite Double Bedroom

- 1 x Twin Bedroom

- 1 x Double Bedroom

- Family Bathroom

- Open plan Living/Dining/Kitchen Area; The living area is complimented by a flat screen TV with a Sky package including Sky Sports, an ipod docking station & feature fireplace. In the dining area, there is seating for 6 and in the kitchen you will find all the essentials including cooker, fridge, freezer & dishwasher.

One of the cottages has a disabled friendly bedroom with its own disabled wet room facilities.

Throughout the complex there is free WiFi access.

On site, there is a traditional Pub where you can even pull your own pint; exclusively for guests of Lucasland. We are able to order 11 gallon kegs on your behalf from £1.13 a pint and have them fitted ready for your arrival! The Pub boasts a pool table, a dart board and TV benefiting from BT & Sky Sports, meaning there is something to keep everyone entertained! There are tables in the bar area which will allow all 18 guests to sit and eat together!

The communal courtyard is also home to an 8 seater Hot Tub - Perfect for sitting back & relaxing in on an evening, although this does need to be closed by 11pm each evening.

Other facilities that can be found in the courtyard area are; built in BBQ, garden furniture & a communal laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board, travel cots and highchairs.

There is ample parking outside as the complex sits at the rear of the village courtyard.

A welcome pack awaits you on arrival.

“Family hen party”

“A marvellous break to celebrate a special birthday with my family”

Reviewed 4 Feb 2020

Lucasland is in the heart of the village of Hunmanby which has all the amenities to enjoy your stay. These include pubs, local shops, a fish shop and there's even a bus stop just outside the premises. The bus will take you to Filey, Bridlington or Scarborough if you don't want to use the car. Our family party consisted of 12 adults and 6 children aged from 6 to 14. The accommodation was superb and was tastefully decorated. Each cottage contained everything needed for comfort and cooking. The pub was the hub for our group and we all had fun, the kids enjoyed playing pool and we took some games of our own. The hot tub was a hit with kids and adults alike and at all times we knew the kids were safe. We don't have any negative comments and as a family we thoroughly enjoyed the Lucasland experience and would not hesitate to go back.

Owner's reply: Thank you for the lovely review! We're glad you all enjoyed your stay at Lucasland!

“Amazing Place to Stay”

Reviewed 30 Oct 2019

This was our 3rd visit to Lucas Land and again we had a fantastic weekend. The facilities and they way all three cottages are designed offer a really inviting and comfortable feeling. The adjoining bar makes it a great place to socialise with a group of friends or large family. The cottage is on the bus route into Filey which takes about 20 minutes. We have already booked again for 2020 cant wait to go back.

Owner's reply: Thank you for the great review, we're glad to hear you enjoyed your return visit! See you next year!

“The perfect stay”

Reviewed 15 Oct 2019

We booked for a family and friend stay which was the perfect way to get together in such a beautiful place. We were left to our own devises and when we arrived we were greeted with tea and coffee and a cake. The place was clean and tidy throughout, you could no tell that someone had stayed there before us. The bar area is perfect to drink and relax with the whole group which is great when there is 18 of you in such a big place. Everything was made clear for what was expected of us and even when emailing to book the place it was simple and easy. I would recommend the place as there is loads to do around the area and there are bars and shops in walking distance. It was a perfect stay thank you for brilliant stay and we look forward to staying with you again.

Owner's reply: Thanks for the review! We're glad to hear you all enjoyed your stay!

we stayed for 3 nights over the bank holiday and had an amazing time. we were a party of 3 families, we all had our own space but could all spend time together in the bar or garden area and if we fancied we would nip to the pub!! Great place, good location and well looked after, defiantly recommend this place for a good family get together!!

“Fantastic Accommodation”

Reviewed 2 Aug 2019

A group of 17 of us stayed here for a 50th birthday party. We had booked a property elsewhere but had our booking cancelled. We are so glad because our stay at Lucasland was fantastic. The accommodation is very well appointed and thought out. The private pub and the hot tub are a fabulous addition to the property and really made our stay even more special. We would definitely recommend the place and hope to stay there again soon. Thanks for everything,!

Owner's reply: Thanks for the great review, we're glad you enjoyed your stay at Lucasland and hopefully see you again soon!

“Friends reunited”

Reviewed 9 Jul 2019

Had a fantastic few days at Lucasland with friends from all over the country coming together for the first time in years. Spotlessly clean, a great place to relax and chat. The pub space made it very easy to all be together to catch up. There are so many things to see and do in the area - the naval battle at Peasholme Park was a group favourite.

Owner's reply: Thanks for the great review, we're glad you all enjoyed Lucasland and the area!

“Our secret escape”

Reviewed 2 Jul 2019

We have just returned from a lovely family weekend in lucasland and it was our second visit there. The cottages are spotless and include all the amenities you would need. The courtyard is enclosed so very safe for all ages and we loved the hot tub and use of the bar for family games. We had lots of time together but the separate cottages meant you could have your own space also Ideal location between Scarborough and Filey and I highly recommend. We will be returning There is a nice pub next door also which we used last time but this time we sat in the courtyard as had great weather.

Owner's reply: Thanks for the great review, we're glad you enjoyed your return trip! Hopefully see you all again soon!
