Hawthorn House is a detached 18th Century Cottage with a mature garden, which is located in the popular village of Hunmanby, near Filey. The property has recently been refurbished and offers all the modern day facilities whilst retaining many characterful features including low ceilings, exposed timber work and handmade hardwood doors.

The cottage provides an ideal base for exploring the Yorkshire Coast, Wolds & Moors and is the perfect place to relax and unwind in whether that be by reading a book in front of the log burning stove, watching the sun set from the summerhouse or having a BBQ!

There are 2 comfortable lounges and a central reception room which, is particularly suitable for children. The living areas are well equipped with traditional board games, Tv's, iPod docking stations and a PS3. Both lounges boast Sky TV and one lounge also boasts a wood burning stove.

Meals can be enjoyed in the dining area which looks out over the garden or weather permitting you may opt to open the French Doors and move outside. A washing machine and drying facilities are available in the utility room which is located adjacent to the kitchen.

There are 4 spacious bedrooms situated on the fist floor. The master bedroom boasts a king size bed, an en-suite bathroom and a walk in wardrobe. There is also a double room and two twin rooms. The large family bathroom is located on the first floor, there is also a toilet cloakroom on the ground floor.

The extensive secluded garden at the rear of the property contains many mature shrubs and has plenty of space for children to play. Guests may choose to have tea in the summerhouse or host a BBQ on the patio area.

“Perfect place to stay”

Fantastic beautifull holiday home, gardens are private, quiet and stunning. We were a family of 8 which 3 of them were our young grand children, the house and large gardens were very child friendly. It was a short drive to many east coast beaches, then back to Hawthorn house for a BBQ tea and a dip in the hot tub. The local pubs and shops in Hunmanby were within walking distance from the house, people in the village very friendly, the co-op shop had everything we needed to buy. The house was very clean and comfortable, with lots of space. The welcome pack on arrival was a nice touch. We will definatley be booking again as we enjoyed it there so much.
