Situated on the edge of the scenic Yorkshire Wolds, recently made famous by David Hockney's paintings, Hunmanby offers many amenities including a 9 hole golf course, fishing lake, restaurant, traditional inns and tea rooms and a variety of shops.

Filey with its many miles of award winning sandy beach is within approximately 2 miles and Hunmanby Gap, well known locally for rock pooling and fossil hunting is a little over 1 mile away. The larger coastal resorts of Whitby (18 miles), Scarborough (9 miles) and Bridlington (9 miles) are within easy driving distance and the historic City of York is about 35 miles away.

The area is steeped in history and has several stately homes and listed buildings, many of which are open to the public including Castle Howard, Burton Agnes Hall, Sledmere House and Sewerby Hall. Nearby traditional market towns to visit include Malton, Pickering, Kirbymoorside and Helmsley.

Change over days Friday and Monday, 3 and 4 day short breaks available, Friday - Monday, Monday - Friday. Arrival time between 4pm and 8pm.

“All round excellent holiday”

The house and gardens are amazing, and the position was perfect for various days out seeing the sights of North Yorkshire. I could not fault this property at all and would certainly stay here again

“Hidden Gem”

We spent a lovely 3 night break at Longlands recently. What a surprise to find how spacious the property was. Particularly liked the layout with the 2 sitting rooms at the back overlooking the large well kept gardens. The downstairs bedrooms, although at the front, were quiet with no noise disturbance from the road. Each one is en-suite which was a luxury and the upstairs twin bedroom also had a bath with shower over. The kitchen is well stocked and we even managed to prepare a meal for 11 people. Good shops in Hunmanby, Co-op, butcher and bakers we used. The welcome pack with tea, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits was indeed very welcome and such a nice touch. This property has a really nice feel to it, one of those 'hidden gems' you want to keep a secret but then that would be selfish! We booked through North Yorkshire Coast Holidays who were so easy and straight forward - special mention to Lizzy for her friendly e-mails.

“Wow what a wonderful place!”

Such a lovely chalet bungalow with an amazingly big garden which the dogs loved and wanted to chase ball all day every day! The accommodation was comfortable and warm, so lucky with the weather we even used the very efficient barbecue. The whole family want to return.

“Excellent detached house with large garden, patio and plenty of parking”

Longlands is an excellent detached 4-bedroom house in Hunmanby about 3 miles from Filey and its beach as well as Scarborough, Bridlington and the North Yorkshire Moors. There is an exceptionally large garden with a patio and a gravelled area to the side and behind the house with parking for several cars. The village includes the Hunmanby Pantry (good for fresh bread, rolls, pies etc.), a small Co-op, Boots and Country Fayre selling local produce all of which are about a 5-10 minute walk away. Good take-away Fish and Chips from the Captains Table and Chinese take-away from China, China both in the village. An excellent Sunday carvery can be had at the Royal Oak, around a mile from the house on the Filey Road. We also arranged an on-line Tesco delivery for an hour or so after our expected arrival time. Would thoroughly recommend it to anyone wanting to holiday in that part of Yorkshire.

“Excellent all rounder”

Outstanding property and gardens . We were a party of 8 and there was plenty of room , we didn't feel that we were on top of each other at all. Not a big issue but I feel the property would benefit from having a walk in shower for the less mobile of people. I would definitely recommend to family and friends and hopefully will be booking again in the future for my family.

Longlands provided us with a wonderful holiday base.The property is spacious and spotlessly clean,the garden is a good family safe space.The village of Hunmanby has everything you may need including a deli called the pantry which offers fresh home made food. As a family this property offered every we needed to give us a lovely family holiday.
