Privately owned and managed, Greenwich Cottage provides beautifully appointed holiday accommodation only a short walk from the extensive sands of Filey Bay. Boasting 4 bedrooms (each with flat screen TV/DVD), 2 bathrooms a separate dining room. Free high-speed wifi, BT TV (with BT TV+ box - pausing, recording etc), BT Sport, Kids+ Channels, Sky Cinema, Netflix and a 50 inch 4K Ultra HD TV in the sitting room are all included in the rental price. Greenwich cottage is perfect for the larger family or for two families holidaying together.

NB - We decided to name our property "Greenwich Cottage" - "Greenwich" is also the name of this style of cottage at The Bay.

The cottage is situated at the award winning "The Bay" holiday village and guests have free use of the heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam-room and well-equipped gym. Guests are also welcome to enjoy the meadow-land and lakes close to the cottage and to make use of The Bay's footpath for the 15-20 minute walk to the beach. The Bay also has its own public house, serving good quality food and drink, a bistro (opening hours may be limited in winter) and a pharmacy that also stocks some basic grocery goods.

Greenwich Cottage shares a large grassed garden area with neighbouring properties and there is even a Boules court close by! Tennis courts, archery, fencing and cycle hire are available within The Bay village and with the Yorkshire resorts of Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough no more than a few miles away there's lots to do.

Greenwich Cottage is on the doorstep of the Yorkshire Wolds and is within 10 miles of the edge of the majestic North York Moors. The cottage is perfect for those seeking a relaxing, chilled-out break or as a base for exploring the breathtaking Yorkshire coastline and moors and is ideal for family get-togethers or larger groups.

The ground floor offers an open plan fully equipped kitchen, L-shaped living room with comfortable seating, flat-screen TV and DVD player, together with a spacious dining room and hallway.

The cottage has four stylish bedrooms, all with flat-screen TV/DVDs, three of the bedrooms are upstairs, set out as; Master double with en-suite (walk in overhead shower), and double walk-in wardrobe, a second double bedroom with walk-in wardrobe, and a twin bedroom with walk-in wardrobe, plus a large family bathroom with a shower over the bath, all furnished to a very high standard.

Downstairs there is a twin bedroom (ideal for older, less mobile guests) with under-bed storage, freestanding wardrobe and flat screen TV/DVD.. There is also a downstairs wc with washbasin

Outside there is a patio equipped with a table and chairs and a brick-built charcoal barbecue.

Guests can park directly outside the cottage to load and unload with ample further parking in a car-park just across the road.

Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome at a cost of £30 per stay - we do ask that dogs remain downstairs

Two cots, two highchairs and 2 stair-gates are available at no extra cost.


Kitchen includes large fridge/freezer plus separate built-in fridge, washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, coffee-maker, electric oven/hob/extractor hood, kettle, double toaster, fridge, microwave, slow-cooker. Full gas central heating.

How do damage deposits work?

If Nick (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
