“A little TLC and could be perfect”

Reviewed 10 Sep 2016

We know it was the end of the season but with a few touches here and there it would have had a perfect score.numerous 10 minute jobs could make all the difference and i would recomend if all little jobs done (light bulbs, grouting around bath ,bath plug ,bathroom sink tap loose, extractor fans noisey, poor selection of pans)

On your arrival you contacted me re the following. Noisy fan, door rattled, small frying pan and grill tray.. The cooker fan is the same as installed in all the properties at the Bay and have no complaints. the rattle of the front door maintenance addressed this. Grill pan I explained to you was the large tray which is supplied with the oven. You suddenly remembered the fan and cooker was the same as when you stayed in other accommodation at the Bay. None of the other comments were made at the time.

“Good base for East Coast”

The bay itself is lovely self contained lovely to walk round . Apartment was fairly central however struggled to park only got a space 2 out of 4 nights . Apartment felt fairly spacious kitchen and bathroom very clean however carpet in bedroom was stained ( cream carpet not good ) bed ok comfort wise . Sofa bed no good for adults really the but was fine for 2 children . Management company very helpful when parking issues arose. Great price great location

“FANTASTIC HOLIDAY”

Reviewed 27 Jun 2016

We have just got back from The Bay Filey where this apartment is based. It was a nice apartment, clean and had all the mod cons including a washer and dishwasher. There was a card on the oven to show us how to work it. Large spacious Fridge with small freezer compartment. There were a couple of small things the shower is over the bath which is fine for me but the bath was quite deep so my mum struggled to get out of the shower a couple of times but she got used to it. Also the sofa bed is very firm. If you have a bad back great but if you don't like a firm bed bring an extra duvet to sleep on. There are TVs in the main room and the bedroom with Freeview on them and there is also a DVD player in the living room. The complex it is on has lots of cottages and apartments, a pub, pharmacy, italian restaurant and leisure facilities. It took us about 10-15 mins to walk to the beach with the dog and my 76 year old mum and she has breathing difficulties. Coming back it is quite steep for a 100 yards or so then soon flattens out again. Toby loved the beach which is really clean and litter free. The whole site is well looked after by a maintenance team, gardeners and cleaners. I didn't see any litter the whole time we were there. We loved the place and the complex and I am now saving up to see if we can go again soon. Maybe next time I will get one of the ground floor apartments though. A real bonus is the whole place is dog friendly and dogs are welcome everywhere
