“Tranquil relaxing oasis”
We had a lovely stay at this beautiful gite in August 2018. Situated in Berrien/Coscastel, a quiet and picturesque country hamlet. The gite was bright and airy and was equipped with everything required for our stay. It had one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. We found the location very convenient for touring around Brittany. Malcolm the owner is lovely pleasant gentleman who could not have been more helpful anytime we asked for advice on places to visit etc. We enjoyed our visit so much that in retrospect we regretted not booking a longer stay. We hope to visit again soon.
We stayed at La Petite Maison for two weeks and had an amazing and relaxing time there. The House itself has everything needed too make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. It is well situated in a little Hamlet a couple of mins drive from Berrien which has a Bar and a Boulangerie and can be easily walked to. It is Close to Huelgoat which has more to offer in retaurants Bars etc and is also well located to explore the wider area of Brittany. The other inhabitants of the Hamlet were friendly, it was always nice to get a wave as you drove or walked by. Malcom was a great help prior to arrival with detailed maps and directions and then when we were there was always up to chat if we bumped into him. We enjoyed it so much that we are already talking of returning.
Owner's reply: Thank you Aidan for your very kind review. I am so pleased that you both had a great time here in Brittany and enjoyed la Petite Maison. It would be a pleasure to see you both again next year.
“Quiet peacefull spot”
Just spent 2 relaxing weeks in a charming Gite. Warm welcome and comfortable lodgings with a lovely outlook and a 5 minute drive to Huelgoat. An excellent area for exploring, and Huelgoat fantastic walking, with all amenities and loads of character. Would certainly visit again.
Owner's reply: Thank you for your very kind review. I am very happy that you enjoyed your holiday and would choose to visit again. I have taken note of your suggestion and supplied a mop and bucket already, though you did a sterling cleaning job without it. Thank you for your input.
Nice little gite, set in a quiet location and ideally located for all areas of Brittany and especially for the Parc Naturel D'Amorica and it's stunning scenery. Malcoim is a nice bloke and always on hand if need be. We'll mark this gite down as a place to return in the future.
Owner's reply: Thanks Alex and Christine for your kind words. It will be a pleasure to have you return some day.
We really enjoyed our time at La Petite Maison. The cottage is really comfortable and well equipped, quiet and peaceful, and is well placed for visiting all the coastline, and we had glorious weather. Malcolm was welcoming, friendly and good humoured. Would recommend it for a peaceful getaway.
“A welcome respite with English speaking hosts, TV & WiFi”
Malcolm was a most genial host. Nothing was too much trouble. The Gite was superbly equipped and included a welcoming bottle of wine. Handy to a boulangerie for morning croissants. Located centrally in Brittany for access to the North coast ( Mont St Michel, Roscoff, Morlaix and it's superb viaduct, Brest and Douarnenez on the West coast and Quimper and Pont Aven on the South Coast.)
“A great little cottage”
This is a very cosy and comfortable cottage with all of the home comforts we needed for our stay. Plenty of hot water, a very comfortable bed and English TV channels for quiet nights in. It's in a very peaceful location surrounded by fields and lanes for walking and admiring the wonderful countryside. If you're lucky you'll spot the fox in the nearby fields. A stroll on the safe country road to Huelgoat will take about 45 minutes. The hosts live next door and are very helpful. The bottle of wine, milk and water waiting for us were very welcoming. This is great little cottage to spend time relaxing and chilling out. We had a great time here.
We spent 10 days in this property and thanks to our host, we felt entirely at home. The location was in a very quiet and peaceful setting. We just felt so relaxed. No awareness of 'rush and tear'. If it wasn't for the english TV programmes would might of forgotten what day it was. If you want a place to unwind then we heartily recommend La Petit Maison.
“Lovely peace and quiet”
La Petite maison was everything we thought it would be- set in the peaceful countryside it was a lovely place to walk cycle or simply sit in the garden reading and relaxing. The property had a very comfortable bed and everything we wanted. It was worth spending the few extra euros to shop in the small supermarket in Heulgoat wher we bought lovely produce and wine which we bar be qued. Some lovely local restaurants and coastline there if you want them. A lovely place for a bit of quiet time together. Owners very helpful but unobtrusive and locals were very friendly.
