The Hove Lagoon Water Sports Centre is only a 4 minute walk from the house. Here you learn to windsurf, wakeboard and much more. Also at the Hove Lagoon there is a lovely children's playground with a Cafe, a very child friendly paddling pool and a skate park for the older kids. Further along the Promenade there is Pitch and Putt Golf, Tennis Courts all within a short walk of the property. A little further along the promenade there is the King Alfred Leisure Centre. Hove Museum and Art Gallery is also situated close by.

From Westdene it is just a 7 minute walk to the local beach and only a 5 minute walk to the local Marks & Spencer convenience food store!

“Lovely Memories to take home with us..”

The facilities at Westdene were great, the best way of describing it would be you had packed everything including the kitchen sink arrived and anything and everything we could have needed was there. The location was lovely, a short drive tot he centre of Brighton where my wife and eldest daughter took full use of the great shopping facilities. Parking was easy if you have a car. Was good to know you could park the car of the street when returning in the afternoon or evening. Rosemary and Joanne have put this house together with such a welcoming feel I will be recommending it to anyone whoo says their thinking of going to Brighton in the future. Lovely trip, great memories and a fantastic house...

Our recent trip to Brighton was an extended Birthday celebration with my partner and a group of friends and family. Rose (the property owner) was extremely helpful and accommodating from first contact right through until after our stay. The house is a perfect retreat within two minutes walk of the Lagoon, a small newsagents, a cafe, a fishing shop, a pub, a 24 hour garage and probably more if we had ventured any further on foot. Westdene is set on a quiet residential street about 3 miles out of the centre yet this is still only a cheap bus ride or taxi from the Pier and other central attractions, it guarantees a peaceful nights sleep yet is not so far away that it feels like much of a journey into the bustling centre. The house itself is very well presented with ample space and lovely furnishings, it has a relaxing atmosphere and everything you will need for a short or long stay. Despite being a relatively large group we never felt cramped in the house and utilising the large garden whilst the sun was out made for a very enjoyable stay. Westdene offers a drive for one car and the street it is situated on has no parking restrictions and we comfortably parked several cars close to the house. I would definitely recommend the house and the location and thanks again to Rose for making the whole process simple and efficient.

First class accommodation, the house was beautifully equipped with everything we needed when travelling with 2 young children. House feels spacious and very tastefully furnished. The stove in the lounge is a lovely feature, making the house feel very cosy over the Christmas period. Great location, beach just at the bottom of the road. We have a great meal at the american diner just 5 minutes walk from the house. Kids also loved the pier in the evening, at real treat staying up a bit later with all the lights lit up. If you get a chance visit the marina which has some wonderful waterside restaurants, and we had great fun at the Brighton Sea Life Centre. Would thoroughly recommend.
