The East Anglia region
The Norfolk Broads is a network of inland water ways. It attracts many visitors wishing to enjoy the scenery, wildlife (especially birds), water sports, beaches, cycling (it's quite flat!) and charm of the area.
Horning is situated on the River Bure in the heart of the Norfolk Broads about 10 miles from Norwich and 3 miles from Wroxham. The family friendly village provides good local amenities including 3 riverside pubs (all serving food), restaurants, Chinese takeaway, fish & chip shop, tea room, deli, butcher, newsagent/grocery store, post office, hair & beauty salon, swimming pool and fishing tackle/bait shop. Fine sandy beaches are a 20 minute drive away.
The property has its own mooring and there is a slip way nearby for Trailer Sailors. If you bring your own boat, or you hire one locally, there is so much to discover and explore. For peace and tranquility or uninterrupted sailing and fishing, head for the Black Horse Broad or Ranworth Broad.
If you want to go with the flow head up river to popular destinations such as Wroxham (1 hour cruising) or Potter Heigham with it’s famous bridge (1½ hour cruising). Throughout the year there are many sailing events from Horning including the challenging annual Three Rivers Yacht Race.

This house is fantastic. You could not ask for more. The location is great and the standard of accommodation is superb. Everything is thought of and the house easily accommodates 10 people without feeling cramped. We can't recommend this property enough!!!! If you are looking for a house on the Broads then they don't come better than this one.

"Highly recommended will definitely come again"
We stayed at Ferry View recently and I must say what a fabulous place this is for friends or family get together. The large open plan living space makes sure that everyone is always included whether just socialising or cooking for the whole gang. The cleanliness was spot-on, I can't imagine it's easy to keep a house this big so clean, so a big pat on the back for the cleaners. It's a real home from home and everything you might need is included. For the fisherman main river fishing for the quiet times or fishing from the side dyke if the river is a little busy. Perfect wildlife spotting. Would I recommend, absolutely yes, will I be coming back - 100% yes.

"looking forward to our return everytime we leave"
we found Richard and his team at riverside rentals in 2010 which brought us to ferryview and confirmed with wife Pauline and myself we will never set foot in an airport again. This property is first class in every way,Richards discription of it over the phone and on there web site was every bit veryfied when we arrived for our first stay, we have returned since and by the end of 2012 will have visited 4 times this year and are picking dates for next year now. Horning village as everything we require plus some of the most obliging and friendly people we have met and make it clear they want you to come back with out being pushy.I have no reservations in recommending Ferry View & Riverside Rentals to anyone.
Thanks Brian for your fantastic review, we'll see you very soon.

""Fantastic modern thatched house in truly stunning position .""
The house is extremely well equipped and comfortable. The open plan Living Room/Dining/Kitchen is very sociable with the added advantage of amazing views. From the balcony we enjoyed the best views available of the marshes and activities on the river.Whilst staying at Ferry View we had a Kingfisher visit the balcony and even spotted a Swallowtail butterfly in garden. We can't wait to return ,in our opinion it really is the best place to stay and get away from it all .
Thank you for your lovely review of Ferry View and we look forward to seeing you again soon. All @ Riverside Rentals.

"Great House, well equipped and well located."
Ferry View is a fabulous property, well equipped and located and which gets many admiring and deserved looks from the passing boats. Crockery, cutlery, pots and pans are plentiful and the bedding and towels lovely and clean. TV, washer, dryer and all other equipment are first class. Our party included 6 to 60 year old's and all had a great holiday. A day boat is a must and a very relaxing way to see the Broads. Would recommend this property without reservation.
We are glad you had a good time and loved the property, hope to see you again soon.

"Wonderful house fully equipped with everything for our extended family, lovely sheltered balcony overlooking the river."
We went early April and had only one wet day, but even here the house was spacious enough and to allow the Grandparents to retreat whilst the youngsters enjoyed themselves! When we booked we were a little concerned regarding the kids and the river but we needn't have worried as long as they are supervised outside it is quite safe.
Thank you for your kind words, see you all again soon.
