"Riverside Lodge".Accessible/Disabled accommodation at Horning Ferry on the Norfolk Broads. (We are open to non disabled also).English Tourist Board certified accessible accommodation (rating 2) with 4 star accommodation rating.Situated on the main River Bure, with superb sweeping views of the river & passing boats. Ideal for the young & elderly for fishing & wild-life watching from the lawn area.Access to the property is ramped 1:15. Level flooring throughout, extra wide doors. Floor level wet room/showers, support handrails in showers.Property is the middle one of three, has 1 Double Bedroom with en-suite shower/toilet. 2 twin rooms with a shared shower/toilet. Open plan spacious lounge/dining/kitchen to enjoy the picturesque views of the river.New revamped seating area with love seats, to sit and enjoy the sunshine (sheltered on three sides). Sorry we do not accept any pets.

Famous for the magnificent boating they afford, with over 125 miles of navigable waterways they also play host to a wide variety of plants, animals, insects and birds. North Norfolk & Horning is in one of the driest areas in the UK, due to its easterly position, during hot weather receives a cooling breeze from the coast for added comfort.The Norfolk Coast & golden sandy beaches.

Things to See and Do Locally. Horning/Hoveton: Bewilderwood: A large forest of wild family fun and outdoor adventure, with treehouses, zip wires, jungle bridges and much more. Wroxham The heart of Broadland, facilities for all the family including Roys of Wroxham "the largest village store in the world. Bure Valley Railway An old Great Eastern line linking Wroxham and Aylsham through beautiful countryside, gives you a chance to explore the ancient market town of Aylsham.A cycle path runs along its length. Hoveton Great Broad Nature Trail A half mile walks through a tropical swamp. so keep to the path! Salhouse Broad Norfolk Naturalist Trust reserve. Cockshoot Broad Near Woodbastwick, a walk takes you through to the clear water broad as it was 100 years ago. Ranworth Broadland Conservation Centre on the edge of Ranworth Broad with floating exhibition building and viewing gallery.Ranworth Church - cathedral of the Broads with superb views from the tower. see Broadland Leisure for more local attractions in and around Broadland. A racecourse offers days out for the racing enthusiast.Horning village is situated between the city of Norwich and the Norfolk Coast. With three pubs, excellent restaurants, fantastic Delicatessen , various small shops including a Butcher, newsagents/ general store. The nearest supermarket ( ROYS) can be found 3 miles away in Wroxham/Hoveton. A new cycle path ( the three rivers way) has been constructed between Horning & Wroxham, with cycle hire in Horning & Wroxham, so no need to bring cycles with you.
