The East Anglia region
The Norfolk Broads is a network of inland water ways. It attracts many visitors returning year after year wishing to enjoy the scenery, wildlife (especially birds), fishing, sailing, boating, beaches, cycling (it's quite flat!) and charm of the area.
Horning is situated on the River Bure in the heart of the Norfolk Broads about 10 miles from Norwich and 3 miles from Wroxham. The family friendly village provides good local amenities including 3 riverside pubs (all serving food), restaurants, Chinese takeaway, tea room, deli, butcher, newsagent/grocery store, post office, hair & beauty salon, swimming pool and fishing tackle/bait shop. Fine sandy beaches are a 20 minute drive away.
The property has its own mooring and there is a slip way nearby for Trailer Sailors. If you bring your own boat, or
you hire one locally, there is so much to discover and explore. For peace and tranquility or uninterrupted sailing and fishing, head for the Black Horse Broad or Ranworth Broad. If you want to go with the flow head up river to popular destinations such as Wroxham (1 hour cruising) or Potter Heigham with it’s famous bridge (1½ hour cruising). Throughout the year there are many sailing events from Horning including the challenging annual Three Rivers Yacht Race on the first Saturday in June.

"A brilliant relaxing holiday"
A beautiful location by the river with stunning views and loads of wildlife. The cottage is roomy and comfortable for the two of us, I'll admit the extra bedrooms are small, but that's what I would expect in a holiday let, and who stays in bed on a holiday by the river! An ideal quiet get-away from the hustle of normal life!

"Location to die for and watch the world go by"
We have been holidaying at The Willows for the past 12 years when we take two weeks in July. We love the whole experience of the Willows so much that last year we took an extra week in October during school holidays and took our teenage grandson along. He loved the Willows as much as us and couldn't wait to go back again this year. The location is second to none and perfect for anglers and wildlife lovers, with otters and cormorants on view from the comfort of your own cosy sitting room. The facilities are ideal for us with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, comfy beds and great bathroom. The oven and microwave are particularly good and the washing machine invaluable in the summer months. The garden in the summer is full of colour and very well maintained. We have already booked for 2015 and count down the days to our next trip.
