“a little piece of heaven !”

Reviewed 9 Jun 2013

We stayed here for a week at the end of may. Our group of 5 adults, one child, two greyhounds and a dalmation had a wonderful time. Lovely house, kind owner who could not have been more helpful. There were tears when we had to leave. We will definitely be returning in the future. Highly recommended

“Lovely surroundings and spacious farmhouse”

Reviewed 19 Sep 2012

Had a great stay with two dogs and the extended family. Dogs loved the field for exercising. Lovely views. Very well stocked kitchen every pan, knife, fork and spoon you would ever need. Certainly require a car to get around and there is a lovely sandy beach and rock pools at Ligwy (near Moefre) about 20 minutes drive along lovely quiet lanes and a beach the dogs can go on also!!!

“Beautiful house & garden in extremely peaceful surroundings”

Reviewed 6 Sep 2012

Very spacious house with all amenities including the "little" things like a decent hoover, hangers in all the cupboards, lots of sofas in the lounge, beautifully kept garden etc.. set in really tranquil surroundings. We had a great 10 day break in Anglesey - beautiful beaches etc.. short drive away.

“Great house, well stocked & very accommodating hosts, a must visit.”

Reviewed 5 Oct 2011

The house is in a very central location. It has a lot of beds, a spacious house. we found the house clean and tidy with everything we needed. The hosts helped us with whatever we needed.

“Everything we had hoped for, and more.”

We have just spent a very peaceful and relaxing week at Bodfan with our 4 dogs. The owner lived in the property next door and came to introduce herself on our arrival. She offered any help we might need but was not intrusive. The property itself is a beautiful old farmhouse with a large garden. The adjoining paddock could also be used if needed to exercise the dogs but a day on the many beaches soon sorted them out! The farmhouse itself was extremely well stocked with everything you always leave behind. I would say you would definitely need a car to get around as the property is situated in the centre of the island and the nearest beach is probably 20 mins away. We took coal and wood for the woodburner but it was not needed as it was all provided. If you like walking then you could walk forever and not see a soul. We saw dolphins at the top of the island at Amwych which was a bonus. There are several large stores i.e. Morrisons and Asda about 15 mins drive awaybut Holyhead is not somewhere you would want to visit more than once so stock up for the week and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Bodfan....we did and so did our dogs.

“Excellent!”

Reviewed 26 Sep 2011

My wife and I wanted a relaxing break with facilities for our energetic dog, and enough rooms for our family to visit us during our short vacation. This property exceeded all our expectations. Set in large tranquil gardens with a high degree of seclusion, the setting is perfect. The house is just amazing! Very large comfortable lounge with a good stove for the colder evenings. Well equipped kitchen adjoining the conservatory, even a seperate library for the more studious! Sleeping is well catered for with the five bedrooms, all of a good standard. The only faults are... the shower does have a distinct lack of pressure and we had only booked a week, should have been a lot longer the place is so nice! We will return.

“Lovely house, spacious and comfortable”

Reviewed 8 Sep 2011

We had a lovely holiday at Bodfan. There was plenty of room for all of us, the house was very comfortable. The gardens were beautiful and my grandchildren were safe playing out, lots of room to run around which was great, they loved it. Bodfan was central to visit anywhere on Anglesey which was very convenient. We would happily holiday again at Bodfan.

“Roomy accommodation with lovely garden - great for young children”

Reviewed 6 Sep 2011

We had a week's stay at this secluded and quiet farmhouse - spacious, clean and comfortable for the 7 adults and two young children who stayed there. A well maintained and attractive garden was a bonus. Kitchen was well equipped, although could have done with a larger fridge. One shower downstairs, but a second shower in the upstairs bathroom would have been useful. Overall, very good facilities and we had a really enjoyable stay. Definitely need your own transport.

“Bodfan needs only one word - fantastic!”

Reviewed 6 Sep 2011

Eight of us, all colleagues ranging in age from early 50s to early 70s, spent a long weekend at Bodfan. We meet every other month but usually have a short break in December and we all agreed this was the best ever. The house is comfortable, well equipped, and spacious enough to get away from each other if we want to! The owners are there if needed, but not intrusive. I really can't think of any downside to Bodfan, we loved it.
