Megan's Lodge perfect for couples of all ages. The Lodge is set in the grounds of my own home, secured by electric gates, remote zapper given upon arrival. Being a delightful warm & very cosy Non Smoking property it is a perfect year round retreat after a day sightseeing or touring, enjoying all this beautiful area has to offer. Although it is within the grounds of my home it is totally private with no other neighbours. It is a double glazed and centrally heated property. There is a welcome pack comprising of tea, coffee, sugar and milk, with a few nice surprises! The Lodge is furnished to a very high standard to make your stay a home from home experience, including a modern built in kitchen. The front door opens into a hall, where the stairs go straight up to Bedroom. Storage under the stairs and two further doors. One opens into the open plan living area, the other into the Bathroom which has a white suite comprising of a bath with hand held shower cradel, and a large fixed

A super king bed which can be made up into two large singles on request. Cot and highchair on request, no charge. Jay-be folding single bed with wooden slates & airflow matress available for child 10+ yrs in bedroom with parents on request with a small charge for extra bedding, towels etc. The bedroom is furnished with bedside tables having drawers, lamps and cd/clock radio, large chest of drawers with mirror over, TV, safe, fan, hanging rail, hairdryer, chairs. Outside a small stoned patio with table, chairs,umbrella & BBQ overlooking countryside. A washing Line. Area to wash down wetsuits and boards & leave to drip dry. Secure area for Bikes. Not suitable for toddler or young children.

Megan's Lodge is 8 miles from the golden sands of Bude with it's expansive beach and Widemouth Bay a few miles further along the coast road, both beaches with excellent surfing.
The pretty coves of Crackington Haven, Port issac, Tintagel, Boscastle, Padstow and Newquay in Cornwall and Clovelly, Bideford and Barnstaple in Devon are all close by.
A great day out at the Eden Project and Truro are both within an hour.
Coastal walks along the North Devon/Cornwall Coastal paths are but 15 mins away, where you can enjoy the most spectacular scenery. Waking on Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor with the most beautiful scenery are about 40 mins away.
Bude , Holsworthy and the surrounding villages have a varied choice of lovely Reataurants with Rick Stein in Padstow and Jamie Oliver in Newquay.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan well worth a visit are under an hour away.
A boat trip from Bideford (approx 15 miles) to spend a day on Lundy Island owned by the National Trust & undidturbed by cars, with a small village Inn, Victorian Inn & 13th Century Marisco Castle.There is a variety of sea birds, wildlife, flora & fauna. Lundy also offers an opportunity for diving and seal watching.
Clovelly (approx 12 miles) a privately owned village where the main street is not accessible by motor vehicle as it's steep cobbled main street descends 400ft to the pier. Sledges are used to move goods around. There are a number of shops, cafe, and pub. The South West Coastal Path National Trail runs from the top of the village & is particular spectcular in places.
Tavistock about 40 mins drive, on the edge of Dartmoor, set on the River Tavy has a wonderful pannier market, well worth a visit and extensive choices of places to eat. The Wharf has a very varied programme including live music, theatre and cinema.
Bovey Castle also on the edge of Dartmooris just over an hour away with it's beautiful golf course, walks, swimming pool, spa and choice of treatments can be followed by a relaxing meal in one of it's renowned restaurants.
Megan's Lodge is within an hour of so many beautiful days out in the North Devon and North Cornwall area. I have mentioned but a few of my favourites.
Megan's Lodge is set in the counrtyside just outside Holworthy.
Waitrose Holsworthy is 5 mins away and will also deliver your groceries ready for your arrival on request. Just confirm delivery slot with me to make sure I am here as it is a automated gated property.
Not to be forgotten is the cinema at Poundstock, Bude or further afield at Wadebridge. Theatres at Barnstaple, Truro, Plymouth and Tavistock always have a varied programme.

Golf at Holsworthy 5 mins from Lodge, also further afield in Bude and Launceston.
Tamar Lakes with course and trout fishing, sailing, watersports and trails is close by.
Horseriding at Bude.
Cycle Hire is available at Bude to enjoy the many wonderful cycle routes in the area including the Camel Trail.
