The outdoor heated hot tub spa is available to all guests with an extra charge of £50 per weekend and mid week stays or £100 for a week stay ( this is to cover the expensive running costs)
The West Yorkshire region
The house is set in the heart of the Holme Valley which has some of the most beautiful countryside in Yorkshire, it is also situated right on the very edge of the stunning peak district which is a short car journey away.
The famous picturesque Yorkshire Dales are also within easy reach by car. The historical city of York is approx 1 hours drive away, and there are many other famous and interesting places to visit making Holmfirth an ideal base to stay in.
Stonewell House is only a 5 min walk from the busy market town of Holmfirth where you will find plenty of shops, restaurants to suit all tastes. Fans of the TV show 'last of the summer wine' can go on guided tours and bus tours around the areas where the filming takes place. The popular 'Compos' restaurant is a 1 minute walk away.
The countryside in the area is stunning and you can literally walk out of the house and be walking or cycling on picturesque paths in minutes, we have detailed information in the house on these treks and walks for your use. The village is right on the edge of the peak district and the pretty town of Glossop is only 20 mins away by car. There are also plenty of wonderful walks around numerous reservoirs within walking distance to the house.
There are plenty of interesting places to visit for both young and old alike with breathtaking scenery wherever you venture.

"Perfect property in a lovely location, ideal for the family."
We on an annual basis go away as a family with the sole purpose of getting together relaxing and catching up. We have stayed in many Holiday Homes but none are as well present and perfect for our needs as Stonewell House. The house itself is magnificent and the only problem is the argumeant re which of the fantastic rooms to stay in. There are many magnificent features to this property, but a few I would mention are the Hot Tub a must to relax in the evening with a glass of wine, the kitchen/breakfast area is a great area to relax in, eat, cook and chat and the lounge area with massive TV is great for watching the football or DVD on a wet day. I would have no problems with recommending this, we will return. The Robson's

"Top spec house in great location"
This is our second visit to Stonewell. We stayed at the house this time for my mum's 70th birthday. It was a great house for a large group, with two big living spaces which give plenty of space to entertain as well as have a quiet read if needed! The views from the house (and the hot tub) are beautiful. The house is very well designed, furnished and equipped. Holmfirth is a also a great location for exploring this area of Yorkshire with walks, Yorkshire Sculpture Park and the Hepworth Gallery all within easy reach. As well as the pubs of Holmfirth, don't miss The Nook and The Old Bridge! Very helpful owners, well worth a visit.

"Enjoy a bit of luxury!"
A group of us have been doing an annual cottage weekend for about 10 years now and Stonewell is probably the highest spec place we have been to yet. It was perfect for our group being a mix of young families and singles as it is so big, so there's plenty of space to either get together or do your own thing. The large dining kitchen is lovely and we pretty much lived in there - although the guys were rather drawn to the enormous plasma in the lounge! Loved the wet room and all the soft furnishings - the finish is v luxurious for a holiday let. It is around a 10 minute leisurely walk into Holmfirth which is a lovely little town. They switched the Christmas lights on while were there which was an added bonus. The views are great and it's a very relaxing place - we all really enjoyed it.

High spec. owner extremely helpful and goes extra mile, good restaurants, hot tub a must!, immaculate, good location (would need transport if disabled), door difficult to lock, plenty of gizmos and gadgets all in all fab!

I stayed at Stonewell House with my Husband and 2 children and didn't know quite what to expect. The house exceeded our expectations, it is beautiful and very well equiped. The weather wasn't great but it didn't matter as Holmfirth is a lovely place. The kids loved the trampolene and karoke machine. We would love to stay again.

This is without doubt a 5 star property ,the rooms were generous and beautifully furnished. The property was exceptionally well equipped. The garden was lovely and the hot tub looked inviting although we did'nt use it. We had a lovely week in Holmfirth and I just could nof find fault with the property we felt very much at home. The property was very clean upon our arrival with an abundance of clean fresh towels ,we left reluctantly and look forward to returning in the future. We could not believe it was dog friendly a massive plus.

Stayed here as one of 11 ladies celebrating a 40th birthday in March. Beautifully clean and very high spec property. We spent most of the weekend in the beautiful ground floor kitchen (nearest the fridge and wine) making full use of the karaoke machine. The waterfall shower on the top floor was wonderful and had amazing views across the valley while you were using it.We walked the 10 mins into Holmfirth for a meal which is downhill on the way there but harder work on the way back! Lovely to see that there is now a hot tub as that was the only thing that was missing.
