The beaches on the West Coast are calm and ideal for swimming, snorkeling and water sports. It is also the centre for all the most fashionable hotels and restaurants in Barbados.Be sure to take long walks along the serene coastline, dipping in the sea to cool off as needed. For snorkelers, visit Folkestone Marine Park at Holetown to see many of the Marine species Barbados has to offer. For those who prefer their fish on a plate or a BBQ, visit the fish market at Weston early any day, and check out today's catch, or visit on a Friday / Saturday night and sample varied menu at the evening fish fry.The West Coast of Barbados boasts two championship Golf Courses, at Royal Westmoreland and Sandy Lane.

Holetown

The first settlement in Barbados, Holetown, was originally named Jamestown, after its benefactor, King James I of England. The Holetown Monument, commemorates the first English landing in Barbados in 1625.It acquired the name "Holetown" because of the off loading and cleaning of ships in the very small channel located within the immediate vicinity of the town. Holetown is the site of the annual Holetown Festival, a colourful local festival of crafts, music, and historical parades!First and Second streets in Holetown are filled with a wide variety of restaurants and are very popular especially on Friday and Saturday nights. There are also several beachfront restaurants in Holetown including Tides, Zaccios, Surfside and The Beach House. If you're visiting Holetown (or staying here) be sure to visit the Chattel Village shops for local art, craft, fashion and more! Also Holetown is now the home of "Lime Grove" a newly built Cinema and Duty Free shopping complex. Home to a variety of bars and restaurants as well as the most fashionable designer brands in Barbados. Holetown also boasts lots of shopping opportunities including a well stocked supermarket (Supercentre) internet orders & deliveries available.

“Fantastic Villa in Great Location”

Reviewed 7 Mar 2016

Stayed for two weeks and would highly recommend. Booking - an easy process as David the owner always responds promptly. The Villa was perfect for us 5 adults and two children - great sized pool - very clean - spacious inside and well maintained and if there was any problem David was quick to recommend / organise help. They were none that were not our fault by the way ! but David soon got them sorted. Pick up arranged by owner at Airport was there on arrival and took us to shops first which was helpful. The Villa is a walk to the nearest beach bit its only 10-15 mins max and if your lucky you get to see Monkeys - Holetwon is walking distance too and a taxi back is very cheap. We hired a car which is recommended but by no means essential. All in all a brialliant two weeks and if we return as group would have no hesitation in checking out availability.

I'm glad Tim & family enjoyed their stay at Lime Villa. I'm retired, so I always try to respond quickly to any enquiries, or to any questions whilst guests are staying at the Villa. Usually i can answer any queries or resolve any problems over the phone. If not Lime Villa has a team of loyal staff, who can usually sort out anything else.

“Amazing, relaxing vacation!”

Reviewed 22 Jan 2016

Thank you David for a wonderfully relaxing winter vacation! The accommodations were great! Everyone had ample space to themselves (3adults and 3 adult kids) and we enjoyed great family time together. There were days that we just lounged by the magnificent pool, and other days that we ventured to the beaches. Thank you for sharing your home!

Hi Judy, Great to hear that you all enjoyed your stay at Lime Villa. You are welcome back any time.

“A great villa for those who love pools”

Reviewed 26 Dec 2015

We chose Lime Villa due to the wonderful large pool and it didn't disappoint. The beach can be reached by a short 10-15 min walk or using a car. Ideally you will have a car to reach the shops, I'm sure you could do it with the buses or taxi but we enjoy the freedom of the car, The kitchen was well equiped and all the rooms are spacious and comforable.

“Perfect base for enjoying West Coast of Barbados”

Reviewed 4 Apr 2015

Everything worked really well for us/our daughter and son-in-law and 2 grandchildren. David's help and advice were invaluable and the housekeeper (Maureen) and taxi driver (Harold) were unobtrusive and friendly. The best feature of the villa is the 10 metre pool which was meticulously maintained throughout and ideal for our 2.5 year old grandson. Everything you could need is provided and, thanks to the fans and air-conditioning, night times are cool and comfortable. Prices in Barbados are generally high and currently made worse for visitors by the strong dollar but we agreed we would return to Lime Villa without hesitation.

“Perfect Base”

Reviewed 17 Jan 2015

Two families with 4 kids (all around 9-12yrs) stayed at Lime Villa for the Xmas/New Years holiday. It was the perfect choice. Plenty of room for 2 families, great pool and gardens and all the amenities we could have asked for. Dave the owner was easy to deal with in booking the property and very attentive in ensuring we got there safely and had all the help we needed. The staff who come to clean the house and take care of the yard/pool were also great. The villa is in a decent location, about a 10 min walk to the beach which requires you to cut through some grassed pathways but is easy to navigate. It's a short drive to Holetown for shops and restaurants. All in all we had a fantastic holiday and having Lime Villa as our relaxing base was a big part of that. Would recommend to families or groups of friends.

“Can't Wait To Go Back”

Reviewed 11 Jul 2014

You know how sometimes you see pictures of hotels/villas/suites/etc. online and then you show up and it's half the size and disappointing? The Lime Villa lived up to what was advertised and went above and beyond what was to be expected. My dad is from Barbados and our family has been trying to get to the island for years. Needless to say, this was a much anticipated trip. When we walked through the doors of the villa we were blown away by the size, cleanliness, and amenities. There was an instant sense of ease. You are a short walk away from a beautiful beach, restaurants, and Holetown. When you're done exploring the island for the day you can come home, fire up the grill and relax in your private, impeccably landscaped backyard. With a Banks in hand, you can sit back in a lounge chair watching the daylight fade as the tropical sounds of night softly fill the blanket of pleasant darkness. It was a truly memorable family vacation that went too fast and left us eagerly daydreaming about our next trip back. Thank you David for being so easy to work with, and thank you Lime Villa for being true to your word and providing such a wonderful home away from home

“Awesome Vacation”

Reviewed 8 Apr 2014

We had an amazing time at Lime Villa. The house and the grounds are so beautiful. The pool is amazing. My youngest son preferred the pool to the beach most days. Short walk to beach and minutes ride to shopping in Holetown. Looking forward to going back.

“Beautiful Barbados”

Reviewed 12 Sep 2012

We had a wonderful stay at Lime Villa in Barbados. The house is huge and there is plenty of room for two families if you wanted to share. We went as a family of four and had acres of space. The swiming pool is very big and we spent many days around it chilling out and reading. The housekeeper is lovely and very helpful, she does a great job of keeping the house spotless. Thew house is located about a 10 minute walk from Holetown although I would suggest renting a car as it was dark by 6.30pm and I would not like to be walking home at night as the roads are dark and winding. There is a beautiful beach at the end of the road behind Glitter Bay hotel. We found it fairly quiet and nobody hassled us to buy goods etc. We found it fairly expensive to buy shopping and eat out but then it is an island and most things need to be imported. All in all we had a great holiday in Barbados and will return again sometime.

Thank you for submitting our first trip advisor review. Hopefully the first of many with trip advisor, as we already have over twenty reviews on the holiday-rentals web site. We are glad that you had a wonderful stay, you are welcome back any time.
