Castaways is a newly built (August 2018), spacious, hilltop holiday apartment on the unspoilt Caribbean island of Carriacou. With unrivalled spectacular panoramic views, in all directions the two-level accommodation comfortably sleeps two. Its hilltop location provides stunning views and welcome breezes to keep you cool.

Located in Hermitage, the apartment is approx half a mile from Tyrell Bay with great places to eat, but far enough away so, if you wish, you can enjoy peace and quiet when it gets lively in the evenings.

Spacious open plan top level living area with:

• Fully equipped modern kitchen with full oven/grill, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer.

• Dining area.

• Large corner sofa bed.

• A flat screen smart TV and DVD player (live TV is not available but you can log into your Netflix or Amazon Prime accounts).

• Cloakroom toilet.

• Patio doors (with flyscreens) allow the cooling sea breeze to pass through and give access to covered verandahs with the west facing one leading onto a small garden.

Cool lower level bedroom and ensuite with:

• UK king-sized double bed with pillow views over the ocean to where the sun rises. Bed linen provided.

• Large dressing area, ample wardrobe space, dressing table with hairdryer and a digital safe.

• Air conditioning unit with remote control.

• Patio doors open onto a large private partially covered verandah with seating and spectacular views.

And ensuite with:

• Thermostatic rain-head shower with separate handheld shower head

• Wash basin, bidet and toilet

• Towels and facecloths provided with shower gel, shampoo and conditioner.

Outdoor spaces

• Three verandahs and a small garden provide sun or shade at any time of day.

• Panoramic views on all sides.

• Look out for turtles, fireflies, humming birds, iguanas and lizards as well as the local goats and sheep.

• The full drama of the night sky can be admired with views of the Milky Way where a million stars shine back from the inky blackness.

Getting around

Ferry or airport pick up/drop off included in the price of the apartment, if required. The No 10 bus runs regularly between Tyrell Bay and Hillsborough and is a great opportunity to interact with the locals (cost EC$3.50 (approx £1) per single trip). A variety of excursions are available including island tours, trips to Tobago Cays, Sandy, Island and White Island or explore the local mangroves by kayak. Water taxi’s can be booked at Lambi Queen (and Paradise Beach) Snorkelling and Scuba diving courses and trips are available at LumbaDive and Dive Carriacou, both in Tyrell Bay, and at Deefer Dive in Hillsborough.

Whilst the apartment adjoins our home, both have been designed to ensure privacy for our guests and you will be undisturbed, although we are happy to provide any advice or suggestions if needed.

“A taste of paradise at an affordable price”

The castaways apartment is situated on a hillside affording a totally secluded holiday with amazing sea views a cooling breeze and front row seats to the unforgettable daily sunsets. The apartment has a well appointed kitchen a beautiful bedroom and living room that also converts into an additional bedroom. It also has 3 separate balconies with unbelievable views and whilst it's only a short hop into the local town or to one of the many fabulous beaches the apartment is filled with CDs DVDs and games for those nights you just want to chill out and relax. The owners Liz and Martin met us at the airport and were fabulous hosts throughout, always ready to suggest suitable restaurants and beaches to explore as well as boat trips to take. Can't wait to go back again sometime soon

How do damage deposits work?
