Description

The Tropical Beach House is a very spacious, true beachfront property superbly located right on the beach at Thiranagama just south of the centre of the popular Sri Lankan resort of Hikkaduwa, right in the middle of one of the most expansive and beautiful activity beaches in Sri Lanka. The beach house at Hikkaduwa is offered on self-catering terms and provides you with an unfussy but very comfortable base from where you can enjoy everything that the area has to offer, such as amazing sunsets, surfing, diving, nature watching or just basking on the beach in the Sri Lankan sunshine!

Watch the last of the sun dip down into the Indian Ocean, whilst having a fresh seafood BBQ prepared for you. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to see the local fishermen hauling in their catch or a turtle coming ashore to lay her eggs! Later on, perhaps take a stroll along the beach and sample some Hikkaduwa nightlife. Enjoy all the advantages that come with renting your own beachfront holiday villa in Hikkaduwa and take everything else at your own pace.

As I hope the image tour conveys, the views from the holiday villa of the beach and Indian Ocean at the bottom of the garden are simply gorgeous!

For the duration of your holiday in Hikkaduwa, Mahinda and our cleaning staff will be on hand to clean as often as you wish and attend to your needs. They will happily arrange local tours, Ayurvedic massages, diving trips, BBQs, meals to be prepared or anything else you can suggest.

The Tropical Beach House can accommodate a party of up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms (with at least 2 couples). We provide bed linen and towels (bathroom and beach towels) and can supply a cot, as well, if necessary. WiFi internet access is available throughout the beach house complex.

The ground floor of the Tropical Beach House has 2 air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms - one king-size double and one with twin beds - and a fully-appointed kitchen. In front of the beach house is a private beachfront garden with a swimming pool (9.30m x 4.65m) and a very large shaded veranda, which is ideal for outdoor dining and relaxing with drinks whilst watching the kids splash around in the pool.

The whole upper floor of the Tropical Beach House is a self-contained studio apartment featuring beautiful direct ocean views through wide sliding glass doors, which lead out onto a large shaded balcony. It comes complete with air-conditioning, a fully-equipped kitchen, dining table, king-size 4-poster bed, washing machine and an en-suite bathroom with hot-water shower.

BOOKING CONDITIONS:

* The Tropical Beach House is rented as a complete private villa. I do not offer individual room rates.

* The property is offered on self-catering terms although we can prepare meals for you and we won't be beaten locally on price either!

* Owing to the fact that I have received some eye-wateringly large electricity bills in the past, and for environmental reasons, I want to encourage you to use energy conservatively. I have therefore decided to include a free daily allocation of 40 units (kilowatt hours) and then charge a heavy usage tariff of Rs75 for each additional daily unit used. Daily usage below this allocation will be freely included in your rental price.

* Internet access is capped at 2.5Gb per day. Usage above this will be charged at Rs1,500 per additional 5Gb.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
