“Amazing place, staff and country!”

Reviewed 22 Apr 2014

We had such a great time at Villa Kos. Asanka was so accommodating and helped us with everything we wanted. The food was amazing, the place was spotless, and any time we needed to get somewhere, there was a tuc-tuc there waiting. I would recommend it to anyone!

Dear Guests Your praising review and generosity to the villa team means so much Delighted you enjoyed your holiday in Sri Lanka Hope you will return again soon Many thanks George ( villa owner )

“Perfect holiday villa in Hikkaduwa”

Reviewed 5 Apr 2014

We stayed at Villa Kos for a week and we couldn't have asked for anything better. Asanka picked us up at the train station, on arrival the first thing you see is the gorgeous garden and the amazing pool, which is the perfect temperature at any time of the day. All 4 rooms, each with their own bathroom AND AC AND hot water (bonus!) were just what we needed, and spacious. The living room is well equipped with a flat screen TV and lots of DVDs and a nice sitting area to hang out in after a long day in the sun. The kitchen is also perfect, big enough for cooking if you want to make your own meal. However, we ordered dinner a couple of nights there and the food was brilliant. We asked for local fare and were not disappointed - they even made some dishes out of the mango and jackfruit growing on the trees in the garden (get both, they are delicious!). We ate outside in the garden by the pool which was lovely. WiFi is available, a tiny bit spotty at times but when you're in heaven you don't really need to connect to the internet! The staff is extremely friendly - George responds very quickly to all messages and is super helpful, Asanka and Udesh who manage the property are the same. They will order tuk tuks for you to get you to the beach whenever you want! Hikkaduwa in general is amazing, great food, great beach, great people. All in all, I would 100% recommend Villa Kos to anyone, and will be going back again soon!!

We are trilled you decided to stay at villa kos after your adventures around Sri Lanka. The team are beaming at such high praise Asanka says it was a honour to have taken care of you and your guests Really hope you will return soon Thanking you George ( villa owner )

“A great place to get away from it all”

Reviewed 9 Apr 2013

With its wonderful garden, swimming pool and alfresco dining area, Villa Kos is a perfect escape for couples, families and friends. Each of the four bedrooms boasts a four-poster bed with en-suite bathrooms. For those with small children, however, a few well-placed cushions on the floor are advisable – to help avoid things going bump in the night. In addition, with two of the bedrooms located on the outside of the main villa, the doors to the villa have to be left unlocked at night. But as the place is extremely friendly and safe, the only nighttime visitors you’ll need to be aware of are a few small frogs. The kitchen has most of the basics for you to be able to dine in – gas hob, pans, kettle, etc. Though, a few of the pans could do with being replaced. The friendly staff are always on-hand (in an adjacent house) to book tuk-tuks to the beach, cars for longer journeys (into Galle, for instance) or for good advice as to where to eat or visit. They can also do the cooking for you - or arrange for local food to be delivered. All in all, Villa Kos is a great place to kick back and relax in. Or to use a base for day-trips to local beaches etc.

So kind to take the time to send wonderful photos and do review Thanks for the tip kitchen utensils have been replaced. Also looking for appropriate position to place cushions. Pleased you and your family enjoyed your stay at villa kos. Best wishes George

“PERFECT RELAXING PLACE”

Reviewed 6 Apr 2013

Our family stayed at Kos villa last week and really did enjoy it. This beautiful villa is very well equipped, clean and comfortable, the kitchen has everything what is needed, the AC and vans are working perfectly in the bedrooms Asanka, the manager who lives on the site, is very helpful, but never intrusive. On the first day we told him we preferred to prepare our breakfast ourselves and he furnished everything we needed to do this. The villa is ideally situated for exploring the south of the island both on the coast and inland. At first we thought it was situated a bit far from the beach but there is no real problem to get there by tuktuk or bus. It even is better to be a bit inland because you will find here the quietness and peace. We enjoyed the large, immaculate pool and garden with all the little birds and squirrels to entertain you. Within walking distance you can find some small little shops and in the centre of Hikkaduwa you can find fresh fish, vegetables on the market and everything you need for self-catering if you wish. We really were happy to have found this place for a relaxing week after having crossed the country by bus and train.

We are delighted to receive your 5 star rating, Also your kind words about Asanka who with out him the villa would not be a success. Much appreciated your generosity to the villa team and drivers Kind regards George

“Perfect holiday home in Sri Lanka”

Reviewed 7 Mar 2013

My family and I spent 10 unforgettable days at the Villa Kos in the middle of February 2013. Initially, while looking for an accommodation in Hikkaduwa we were not sure if we should choose beach resort or the villa. However, once we arrived at the villa we had no doubts that we made a right choice. The place has everything you might need for nice and relaxing holidays. It is located in the quiet and picturesque village but at the same time is close to the beach and all Hikkaduwa amenities. Our daily walk from the villa to the ocean took us about 30 minutes (by tuk-tuk it takes approx. 5 minutes). You will definitely see more of the real Sri Lanka if you stay at the villa and not at the beach side. And you will be glad to be back to the peaceful villa away from the noise and crowd of the resorts. We were particularly impressed with the villa’s garden as it has many exotic trees, flowers, lots of birds and chipmunks. However, especially we would like to note people that work at the villa. The villa’s owner George arranged smooth booking, provided efficient communication and answered all questions before our arrival. The villa manager Asanka took very good care of us during our stay. He organised several trips for us, provided lots of valuable advice and recommendations, and made all necessary arrangements to make sure that our holidays went without any issue. Asanka’s assistant Isurinda treated us with delicious breakfasts and dinners. Gardner Gamini worked hard every day to keep the garden and large swimming pool in immaculate conditions. Driver Damith was a wonderful guide during our trip to Galle and Sinharaja rainforest. Another driver Madu tirelessly drove through the night so we could visit Kandy, Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa and get back to the villa in just two days. Big thanks to all of them for making the Villa Kos a perfect holiday home! We had a great time at the villa and would definitely recommend it to all people who are planning their visit to Sri Lanka.

The team are delighted to see their names in print, very thoughtful your kindness and generosity to all at villa kos is really appreciated Thanking you for your positive review, Kind regards George

“Relaxing private getaway”

Reviewed 9 Nov 2012

Stayed here with husband and our toddler. We wanted somewhere private where we could just relax for the week. From the moment we walked through the gates everything was great, the villa is surrounded by greenery, views from all corners are breathtaking. The pool is a good size, we spent most of our time in the pool. The decor of the house and garden is just beautiful. Everything is provided, towels and even shower gel and shampoo. Just like staying at a hotel but with out the hassle of other people around. The on site manager Asanka is very helpful, he catered for all our needs. George the owner was also very helpful when it came to booking, as the villa has wifi, he was just an email away. I would love to visit again and hope we do. Thank you for a memorable holiday :)

Thank you for your kind review , also your generosity to Asanka and the villa team ,very rewarding for them. Hope you visit Sri Lanka soon and will consider staying at Villa Kos Best wishes George
