This luxury holiday home is very comfortable and stylishly furnished. It is located on the outskirts of Aviemore on the High Burnside development surrounded by woodland walks and views of the mountain tops. Just a 15 min walk through the trees or a few minutes by car takes you to the town centre with its many shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. The funicular railway will take you up the Cairngorm mountain to the Ptarmigan restaurant. Experience a steam train journey from Aviemore to a neighbouring village a few miles away. Visit the Wildlife Park close by at Kincraig or the Landmark Forest Adenture Park, both very popular attractions, plus the Osprey Centre, the Reindeer Centre and many whisky distilleries.

A main feature of this beautiful home is it's large kitchen/family/dining area with French doors opening onto the enclosed rear garden with patio and garden furniture. This room also has a large flat screen TV and radio with speaker dock for iPhone and iPod. The lounge has French doors opening onto the rear garden. The garage has indoor/outdoor table tennis, a cycle storage rack and ski rack. For further entertainment there is a 37" flat screen TV in the lounge with Blu Ray player and a selection of DVDs. There are books and board games and TV/DVD players in 2 bedrooms. Free Wifi. Linen, towels and heating are included in the price. A travel cot and high chair are provided.

Weekly change over day is normally a Saturday, especially in the summer period but can be flexible at other times.

There are 3 bedrooms on the first floor (1 x King, 1 x Double, 1 x twin beds) and 1 x twin bedroom on the ground floor.

The main bathroom has a bath and a large shower cubicle. The en-suite has a large shower cubicle.

There is also a w.c. and wash hand basin on the ground floor.

The Aviemore and the Cairngorms region

A lovely area on the road north from Perthshire to Inverness via Aviemore with a whole range of mountains. Winter ski facilities, scenic railway, castles and even reindeer. The scenery is wonderful and there are many walking trails and mountains to climb. The area is ideal for cycling with many off-road tracks. There are many places to visit in the Highlands including Loch Ness and Inverness, or go further north to the picturesque village of Ullapool. Enjoy the shopping experience of The House of Bruar and visit Bruar waterfalls. Plenty of good clean fresh air and lots of tempting cafes, visitor centres and gift shops.

High Burnside

Aviemore and surrounding area has a huge range of activities for visitors right through the year. A chain of attractive little towns and villages along the river valley, from Grantown-on-Spey upstream to Dalwhinnie, make good bases to discover the huge choice of walking at all levels, the winter skiing at Cairngorm, watersports and golf, plus the equally wide range of visitor attractions, which even includes the world's highest distillery, and a steam railway with, arguably, the best views from any preserved railway in Britain. Inverness is just 30 mins away by car and from there you can visit Loch Ness or head along the coast road to Nairn and beyond.

"Great house, good location"

We spent two weeks at Carn Elrig View in Aviemore. The house is in a perfect location, with so much to do on your doorstep to suit everyone’s interests. The house is also like a home from home – very clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished. The owner was very helpful and accommodating to our needs – she purchased a stair gate for us and also offered us for the cleaner to change the linen midway through our two week stay. We would highly recommend the house to anyone and would certainly make a return visit. It is one of the best rental properties we have ever stayed in.

"Amazing place for a holiday"

This house was absolutely up to the standard I expected. Lovely place to stay and plenty places to eat nearby. Some of our family were only coming to stay for a couple of days to attend a family celebration, but they all enjoyed it so much they all stayed for the week. The house was spotless and we found it had everything and more that we needed. Would stay again.

"First class holiday"

Enjoyed a lovely holiday in a superb house with comfortable surroundings. The owner had thought of everything to make our stay a delightful experience, the bottle of wine and shortbread were just the icing on the cake. The house is situated in a lovely quiet area just a 20 min walk, along a wooded path, to the shops and restaurants. We would recommend this holiday home to anyone looking for a top class accomodation. We would have no hesitation going back again. Thank you to a very friendly owner.

"Wonderful stay"

The house was beautiful and tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. We couldn't find a single fault. There is so much to do for those with young children in and around Aviemore, will definitely be back again next year!

We found the property to be wonderful, very clean and tidy, spacious and affording us all the modern conveniences we could ask for. we'd definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of spending time in Aviemore.

"First Class Accommodation"

We all had a wonderful weeks holiday in this new property which is equipped to a very high standard. There was plenty of room for all of us quite comfortably (6 adults and 2 children), and the full sized table tennis in the garage was a great addition. The house is 4 - 5 minutes by car from the centre of Aviemore and about 20 minutes pleasant walk through the countryside.

"fabulous holiday home"

I have stayed in several properties within Aviemore and this one is by far the best. It is extremely comfortable with a welcoming atmosphere, spacious, clean, well equipped and in a great location, quiet but within walking distance of Aviemore town centre. There are several TV,s to keep all family members happy and entertained along with books, games and a DVD player. The table tennis table in the garage was great fun. The big kitchen/dining room creates space for everyone to cook/chat and eat together, where the patio dining table provides eating out on a sunny day, (barbecue provided) The owner was very helpful, flexible with regard to start dates and responded to any communication promptly and in a friendly manner. I would highly recommend this luxurious property and hope to stay there again.

"Luxury house - everything we needed (and more!)"

We stayed here in for a weekend in August 2011 with our young children (2 years and 7 months). The house is stunning and has everything you need. Its great for relaxing in the evening. The bedrooms are beautiful with luxury bedding which makes for a great nights sleep! The owner made sure we had everything we needed for the children (i.e. high chair etc) before our arrival. The house was spotless so the cleaners must do a very good job! The house is in a good location. Its within walking distance to the town centre (via the orbital path). Its about a 15 min walk although it will take slightly longer if you have a buggy! We would definitely recommend this property and will definitely be having a return visit next year!

"Great place to stay"

Had a great long weekend, lots of space to play. Great location on the outskirts of Aviemore, town centre well within walking distance to the majority. Well stocked with kitchen bit and pieces for home cooking and also near many places to eat out when feeling lazy! Would defiantly stay there again.
