“Gorgeous cottage, ideal location.”

Reviewed 19 Aug 2016

A really lovely cottage and a lovely owner too. Helen met us and lead us to the cottage, through the Park. A fabulous location with the park literally on your doorstep. She was very welcoming and helpful and is clearly a fabulous baker! The cottage was very clean, with a well equipped kitchen, two toilets. Great space for a family of 5 such as ourselves and a great base for exploring the north east. Many thanks.

Thankyou for all your kind words and hope you will be able to return...we understand that travelling with 3 youngsters can be difficult but children are always welcome - and provide me with a good excuse for baking extra treats!

“Beautiful, pristine cottage in a wonderful location with everything we could want”

Reviewed 10 Sep 2015

The cottage was tucked away, just off the big park in the centre, perfectly located for the town. It had plenty of room for young and older children and we were able to accommodate an extra guest at very late notice. There was everything in the cottage we could possibly need and were greeted with some lovely home baked food. The owner couldn't have been more helpful and the cottage couldn't have been better suited to our needs. Really, we wanted for nothing. Value-wise, the cottage accommodated 6 people (4 adults and 2 young children) in comfort for the price of a standard hotel room. Amazing. We're going back, but next time for longer.

Knowing how difficult it can be to accommodate extended family, it is always our aim to make things as comfortable and easy as possible for all ages within each party....from toddler beds to tea and cake - if it is what is needed, we will do our best!! We look forward to welcoming you back!

“Perfect in every way!”

We had a first class experience from first contact with the owner through the stay at Seal Cottage to our leaving at the end of our stay. The cottage has a lovely location, in reach of all the amenities of Hexham, yet on the edge of the beautiful, peaceful Sele Park. Accommodation was spacious and well-appointed with everything provided to make it a real 'home from home'. We stayed here for a week over our daughters Wedding in Hexham and it will feature very positively in our memories of that lovely time.

We were really delighted that you chose Seal Cottage to stay in and so glad that everything went well for you - with all the preparations for a Wedding going on, you need to know that your accommodation is a comfortable place to "come home to" and relax and it is nice for us to think that for those few precious days before the Event you could make Seal Cottage your home!
