Ideal for two families with children and grandparents, groups or couples.

Located in beautiful countryside, the local area is excellent for walking and cycling. The beaches of the Cote d'Opale are less than 40 minutes away to the West and the battlefields of two World Wars the same distance in to the East. This is also the ideal base for a stop-over at Disneyland Paris, a little over 2 hours to the south. The local swimming and bowling centre with gym/sauna/jacuzzi is just 10 minutes away.

Chez-Leopold is set on the edge of a small dairy farming village, in nearly an acre of its own land. Set back from the quiet road by the large courtyard with parking for a number of cars and surrounded by a large garden (enclosed to ensure security for any children). Guests may enjoy fresh plums and cherries in late July & early August. There are two large patio areas, a BBQ and children's outdoor toys inc swings,climbing frame and child & adult cycles of all sizes.

The house has been carefully restored to provide you with a tranquil setting with all the modern amenities you require, inc 2 woodburners and oil central heating downstairs and electric heaters upstairs

The accommodation includes four large bedrooms on two levels (sleeps 10 comfortably, or 12 with futon) with wood or stone floors throughout.

There is a large dining room with woodburner and a table to comfortably seat ten people, although has been known to accommodate more!. The separate kitchen/diner is fully equipped with oven, hob, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. This room also has a table for six.

There is a spacious lounge with a woodburner and French doors that lead to the large garden.

On the ground floor there are two bedrooms, one with double bed and a cot, the other with twin beds.

The first upstairs double bedroom has its own adjoining TV lounge area with futon, armchair and cot. The second upstairs bedroom has a double bed and two single beds with drapes to allow for privacy.

The house is fully equipped for babies and toddlers including two cots, two high chairs,two push chairs,two booster seats,two changing mats, baby bath, toddler toilet seat and baby alarm.

There is also large selection of toys, games and DVDs for babies, toddlers and older children.

There is WiFi internet connection, Wii, DVDs, CD player, docking station for ipods or MP3 players in most rooms and many books and board games.

The village bakery is two minutes walk, providing fresh bread and some basic provisions. There is a grocery store in a nearby village (3km), and a Carrefour supermarket 10 minutes drive into Hesdin, the nearest market town.

There are many local restaurants, including the excellent Auberge du Prieure in the next village (3.4km). Further information about the house and local/regional amenities are detailed in a guidebook kept at the house.

Why can't I call Jill (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Jill (the owner) a message.

If Jill (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
