In a small community of scattered houses and cottages, Tibbs Barn has been recently refurbished by its owners to an extremely high standard.

The renovation of Tibbs Barn not only provides very comfortable accommodation for four people with a wealth of original features (the building dates from the early 1700s) but incorporates some very clever and unusual features: the bathroom lighting in particular is state-of-the-art, and the whole of one side of the sitting room is virtually a glass `wall` which folds back making the patio feel like an extension of the room. At the end of a long day`s exploring, Tibbs Barn is a place to savour and relax in – a thoroughly enjoyable holiday experience.

Entrance at far side of house from parking area, via patio. Solid door to bright, high-tech. kitchen with integral appliances, Corian work surfaces and underfloor heating. Two steps down to living/dining area. Dining section with large table. Sitting area with woodburner and luxury seating. Folding French windows up full-width steps with inset lighting, leading to patio. Stairs from sitting area to landing with exposed beams. Two bedrooms, both doubles with wood floors and rugs and original features. Bathroom/wc with ceiling shower over bath, bidet and sophisticated 'mood` lighting.

It is almost equidistant between Taunton to the west and the A303 to the east and has the best of both worlds in its location, with the Somerset Levels ahead and the scarp of Ham Hill behind, both of which offer interesting walks and a wide variety of wildlife. The area is especially appealing to birdwatchers with the Somerset Wildlife Trust`s renowned habitat, Westhay Moor, only seven miles away. Now a National Nature Reserve, it is one of the top bird-watching locations in Britain. Further afield but still within easy reach are many places of interest – Glastonbury with its Abbey and Tor, Street (Clarks` Village is well-worth a visit), Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Wells with its particularly fine Cathedral Close, and Muchelney Abbey are all relatively nearby, whilst Sherborne and (in the other direction) Taunton and the Blackdown Hills are a pleasant day`s outing.
