This is a lovely 2 bedroom Ground floor apartment in Apsley Lock, Hemel Hempstead. Located in the Apsley Lock Marina development, it is easily accessible by rail (Apsley Lock) and by car (M25/M1). It is close to local amenities (restaurants and shops) and the Hemel Hempstead snow centre is near by. It is perfect for a break in the countryside!

This is a 2 bedroom ground floor apartment that can accommodate 6 people, one of the bedrooms has its own en suite with the other bedroom offering a family bathroom. A well decorated apartment that has all you need for a lovely stay. It also offers a spacious kitchen/diner and large light living room. The apartment does NOT have a marina view although you can access the marina in the development. You do not need a car as this is located near restaurants, shops and the Watford shopping centre (The Harlequin Centre) is just 2 stops away from Apsley Lock station (2 minutes walk from the flat).

Local attractions are: Hemel Hempstead Snow Centre, Paper Mill Pub, Grand Union Canal, Hemel Hempstead Water Park (Aquasplash), Harry Potter Studio Experience (15 minute drive to Elstree), Elstree film studios, historical town of St. Albans (15 minutes drive), the GROVE in Watford.

Apsley Lock is on the outskirts of Hemel Hempstead and has easy access to both the M1 (2.5 miles) and the M25 (2,5 miles) together with easy access into London Euston which is a 29 minute run from the Apsley railway station, about 800 metres from the apartment. Trains run every 30 minutes.

Dunstable Downs and Whipsnade Zoo are 30 minutes car run away. The Grove Luxury Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort is 20 minutes drive away and on the door step with a 5 minute drive is Shendish Manor & Golf Club.

The Harry Potter Experience is again, 20 minutes drive away or regular bus runs from Watford Junction station.

The Snow Centre, indoor real snow slope is located 1 miles down the road.

Wonderful canal and country walks in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside are close at hand too.

All amenities, 3 excellent restaurants and a pub are within a couple of minutes walk from the apartment.

“Excellent accommodation in quiet complex with all amenities nearby and train to London City”

We enjoyed a relaxing break at Apsley Lock. Peter is a gracious host who ensured that we were made to feel Welcome and took the time to show us around the complex. The apartment is clean and cosy and can accommodate up to 6 people. We enjoyed a walks along the canal which adjoins the apartment complex and dined locally in one of the restaurants. Euston station is approx 20 minutes away from apsley trains station. If you are planning to use this service I would recommend investing in a weekly ticket otherwise the cost mounts up.
