Description from owner

Description

The Hoose is right on the Harbour at Helmsdale, in arguably the best location within the village, on a quiet no-through road within feet of the water's edge. Helmsdale is an easy drive up the A9 from Inverness (or you could get the train) has two pubs, shops, a bank, Library, Visitor Centre, the best fish and chips in the North and is well placed for Highland and Island exploration - though the view from the front door could keep you occupied for hours without moving an inch.

The Hoose has 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sitting room and a newly refurbished stunning modern kitchen/dining room/living room with amazing views of the harbour. There is a staircase in the living area of the kitchen which leads up to a 30ft playroom/study area which is a fabulous space for children to play in. The Hoose is home away from home. There is full gas central heating, open fire in the sitting room and a large enclosed garden.

“This is a wonderful house, in a beautiful position”

Reviewed 27 Feb 2017

The Hoose is extremely well appointed and comfortable. It is fresh but also has interesting pieces of furniture of character. It feels like a real home and has been decorated with care and attention to detail. We would happily return...and hope that we will do one day.

Owner's reply: Thank you felicity we are so glad that you enjoyed your stay at The Hoose and we appreciate your kind thoughtful review. Hoping you will return very soon. Best wishes Liz and Colin

“Gorgeous house, fantastic location.”

Reviewed 9 Sep 2012

We spent a fabulous week at 'The Hoose' in Helmsdale. The house itself amazed us all it was so beautifully decorated. Like stepping inside Elle Decoration but homely and very comfortable. Really helpful information about the area which was great even though we know the village and area well. Sitting watching the harbour activity with early morning tea was bliss. The fabulous weather a perfect bonus. Would recommend this property as superb. Can't wait to stay there again.
