“Perfect in every way”

Reviewed 10 Jan 2016

Brilliant! Extremely well-equipped , modern conversion flat in older building in lovely town of Helensburgh. Owners very welcome and accommodating. Flat had everything we could need for self-catering and maps, info &c. for surrounding the gorgeous surrounding scenery (lochs and mountains). We were extremely snug despite the wintry weather outside. Helensburgh a lovely, very pretty town and easy to spend time in. Also very convenient for Glasgow (by train) and "road trips" to Loch Lomond, Inverary and beyond. The perfect retreat for that bit between Christmas and New Year and would recommend it without hesitation.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. It was a pleasure to meet you both and I hope we might see you again if your travels bring you back to Scotland. Kind regards, Susan

“Outstanding”

This cottage was in a really great location - quiet but close to restaurants and in a really nice neighborhood. The facilities are very modern and comfortable. It was also very easy to get to various sights within the area. The duck eggs were a special treat!

Thank you very much for your lovely review. I am delighted that you enjoyed your visit to Helensburgh and your stay at the Coach House. It was a pleasure to meet you both. Kind Regards, Susan

“Wonderful Hospitality”

Reviewed 11 Sep 2015

The Coach House is set in the grounds of a lovely home on a pretty and peaceful road and the accommodation is to a very high standard, spotlessly clean and with everything needed for a very comfortable stay. We were made very welcome on arrival by Susan the owner and we will certainly be returning to stay there again. There is a lot to do and see in the area so on our next visit we hope to stay longer as we only came for a short break this time.

Thank you very much Candy for your lovely review of the Coach House. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you back again in the future.

“Four night stay as a base for being with our grandchildren”

Reviewed 8 Aug 2015

This worked perfectly as our 'retreat' from fun-filled, demanding days with four small grandchildren. The eldest three returned with us on two of the days for a bite to eat over lunch and loved the ducks and enjoyed using the host family's swings. Susan ensured we felt this was 'our home' to do with as we would our own. The accommodation is, most definitely, up to the four-star rating and within 10 minutes walking from the Helensburgh bank of the Clyde with its ameneties and shops, bars, eateries etc. We certainly hope we can return in the not too distant future.

Thank you very much Lesley for your review of the Coach House. It was lovely meeting you and your grandchildren and we very much hope to see you again on another visit.

Thank you very much Claire for your kind review. It was lovely meeting you both and I am so pleased that you enjoyed staying in the Coach House. I hope you enjoyed your weekend in Glasgow too...despite the weather! Kind Regards, Susan

“Super stay at the Coach House @ the Glen”

Reviewed 23 Feb 2015

We stayed for 5 nights at the Coach House @ the Glen in February 2015. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel extremely welcome. Susan provided us with a great little welcome pack with bread, milk, juice, butter, shortbread, coffee, tea bags etc which was very handy! We even got to sample some Coach House duck eggs which were delicious! The place itself is lovely - immaculately clean, super comfy bed and a power shower to die for! We were also provided with a baby pack for our 18 month old son - including lots of great toys which he loved! The location was fantastic - a ten minute walk into the centre of Helensburgh with lots of coffee shops, restaurants and little shops, and a ten minute drive to the beautiful loch lomond with all its attractions. There is also a very good train service from Helensburgh to Glasgow which took about 45 minutes; we had a lovely day out in Glasgow. We would love to come back in the summer when it's a bit warmer and we can do a bit more outdoors; although my husband wasn't too bothered about the weather when he was enjoying a tour of the local whiskey distillery! I have no hesitation recommending the Coach House @ the Glen. We'll be back!

Thank you so much for your lovely review Rachel. It was a pleasure to meet you all and I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay. I think that you experienced the famous Scottish 'four seasons in one day' during your stay but, as you pointed out, you don't need dry weather for a distillery tour!! I hope we can welcome you back on a future trip. Kind Regards, Susan.

“Fantastic!”

Lovely welcome. Beautiful accomodation with everything we needed and more. It was warm, comfortable and a home from home. Excellent base to explore the area of Loch Lomond and the Trussachs National Park. We hope to go back.

Thank you Gill for your kind review. It was lovely to meet you both and I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay at the Coach House. I hope that we can welcome you back on a future trip to the area. Kind Regards, Susan

“Great place to stay”

Reviewed 12 Sep 2014

In the world of B&Bs your host can make your stay wonderful or terrible and Susan does not disappoint. She is an honest, no-frills lady that does not bother with doilies and lace to provide a modern, clean, and well equipped apartment with a garden view. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, with the Hill House Museum located not far away. Our 3 day stay was very pleasant.

Thank you very much Andy for your kind review. It was lovely to meet you both and I am so pleased that you enjoyed your time at the Coach House and in Helensburgh. I hope that you have a great time over the next few months during your extended stay in the UK! Kind Regards, Susan.
