Runamuk Roost is an authentic vintage, storybook log cabin lake home. A stay with us is like being transported back in time to that wonderful place you remember from your childhood.

Our guests repeatedly tell us that staying at Runamuk Roost is like living in a story book world. You can sense this not only in our guest comments and #1 review rankings but also by the fact that we've been featured in numerous travel magazines including most recently in the Christmas 2015 Cabin Living Magazine.

Even with the charm flowing all around, you'll still be surrounded by resplendent luxuries and comforts –things like A/C, Wifi, cable TV, and a beautiful fireplace. We also offer on-sight boat & jet-ski rentals.

Runamuk's alluring private-estate like setting, tasteful adornments, perfect size home & lake all work together to set the essential tone for a remarkable vacation. With 5 bedrooms that comfortably sleep 10, the home features 3 full baths, a fully outfitted and large kitchen & dining areas, a stone fireplace, and a beautiful screen porch patio with a fantastic view of the beach and lake.

Outside, Runamuk is surrounded by undeveloped, forested property and is perfectly level with the water’s edge. It sits just 75 unobstructed feet away, across a beautiful lawn, from its own private sandy beach.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
