Oakley Lodge is a detached one bedroom apartment in the town centre of Hayle and only a stone's throw from the harbour, shops, transport links, bars, restaurants and galleries .

The apartment is of contemporary design with exposed oak beams and plenty of light. Perfect for two people but can accommodate up to four people. The apartment has a contemporary fully fitted kitchen with a breakfast bar and 4 bar stools. The kitchen has an integrated oven, hob, fridge, washing machine, microwave, toaster, kettle, iron, ironing board and is fully equipped with everything you will need for a self catering holiday. A comfortable lounge has a large sofabed, TV with built in DVD player and FreeSat. Off the kitchen area is the bedroom with a double bed (including bedding) hairdryer, built in wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. The attractive fully tiled shower room includes a shower cubicle with electric shower, toilet, sink and shaver point. Other features include electric heating & double glazing. Outside there is a private patio area with a table and chairs and clothes airer.

Cornwall, which is located on the south westernmost tip of mainland Britain, benefit from the effects of the Gulfstream, which means that the climate is mild throughout most of the year. The weather can be very changeable and different on the north coast from the south coast which means that you can generally find good weather in one part of the region.

The mild climate brings spring flowers bursting to life with warm days long into the autumn.

Few regions can claim a heritage so rich - visit King Arthur's castle at Tintagel and feel the legends come to life or crawl through the circular holed stone, Men-An-Tol, near Lands End, said to cure illness and increase fertility.


There is plenty for everyone. You may like to relax at the beach or Hayle Open Air Swimming Pool. If you like to be active you could try surfing (surf board and body board hire is available locally), body boarding, kite surfing, cycling, watersports, walking or horseriding. If you prefer something more relaxing you could try fishing, bird watching or golf at the local Golf Driving Range or Pitch and Putt or, for the more experienced golfer, West Cornwall Golf Club which is only 1 mile from the apartment.

"Perfect Retreat, Oakley Lodge, Hayle"

A great little base in Hayle, Cornwall. The Lodge is a really well laid out and well appointed little snug. It has good cooking and clothes washing facilities, so, if like me you weren't planning a tour of Cornwall, you could easily spend you time indoors without the need to eat out or visit the local laundry. If you are a bit more outgoing, then there are a good few bars and restaurants in Hayle, I recommend Antonini's for excellent Italian food and a great Negroni! A short run down the A-road puts you no more than 30mins away from other shopping and eating centres. I travelled down from London on my little scooter, and although I hadn't planned to do much touring, I visited the Lizard which is beautiful, Land's End which was... Meh! and Penzance, all are reasonably close by and straight forward to get to but if you don't have personal transport there is a train station just a minutes walk from the Lodge. Although petite in size the Lodge has been well planned and, because of this, can accommodate a couple in a more comfortable manner than a chalet, or hotel room would. if your having guests over, or, you have a small family, there is a fold-out sofa bed that can easily be brought into use. Although there is no bath, the shower is powerful enough to provide for a relaxing wash, and you never have to wait for a boiler to heat the water first. The Owner was brilliant, sounds pretty formal I know... Stephanie is a lovely Landlady, (yes my stay was that long!), and, I would say, a friend too. She takes pride in the Lodge, i tried to keep it pretty clean and tidy during my stay, but she always managed, on her weekly cleaning visit, to get it cleaner than I could??? Full of advice for things to do locally, she is a genuinely nice, and helpful person who made the stay even better. There are a lot of other good things about the Lodge, neighbours, off street parking, Foundry Square, great breakfast and lunches, at the Salt Bar, having an Asda and Co-op close-by, that add up to it being an ideal place to stay, I stayed there quite a while and i have to admit that I miss the little home that it became during that time!!!

"Very convenient for a small family."

We had a pleasant stay at Oakley Lodge. The welcome kit had all the information needed for a good holiday. The location is great with lots of places to eat with many convenience stores and an ASDA within 5 mins walking distance.

"Fantastic Place To Stay..!!"

The apartment was spotless and oh so gorgeous..!! The owner, Steph, was warm and welcoming....what more can you ask for. A good central location, Hayle is a great place to stay being close to so many places in West Cornwall. Nowhere is too far away. There are good bars and restaurants all within a couple of minutes walk. We will certainly be returning..!! Thank You..!!

"spotlessly clean, compact apartment in good location"

We are currently walking the South West Coastal Path and found the location of Hayle to be very convenient. If you are relying on public transport Hayle is an excellent choice with train station and bus stop only minutes walk away. Hayle has everything you need for a short term break with good fish and chip restaurant and child /dog friendly pubs nearby (Salt Bar and White Hart) The accommodation was very clean and suited our requirements. We arrived during a very cold spell (the coldest April for years!) and found the accommodation a touch cold as the door opens straight into the living room, although it did warm up with the use of the additional wall heater provided. The apartment is best suited to two people as with the sofa bed in use there would be little space left in the living area. Tea/coffee/milk provided on arrival and deposit returned promptly the day we left

"Fantastic accomodation, idealyic setting and close to all ammenities"

This little lodge is a fantastic place to stay. With the little town of Hayle to wander along and the peaceful picturesque views of the town, this really is a great holiday home. To travel into St Ives takes about 10/15 minutes and can easily be done by car, train or taxi. (about £15 depending on time etc) The home is very new and has been finished to a high standard with all the fixtures and fittings that you would expect to find in your own home. The kitchen is well equipped, so little point in taking any kitchen items, unless your cooking something special. The bedroom has a very comfy bed and plenty of storage/wardrobe space (inc many hnagers). There are about a dozen dvds available in the house for those who would like to have a quiet night in with a take-away or home cooked dinner (highly recommend the curry leaf) The owner was very prompt at meeting us and quickly showed us around the home to which shows how they have thought about all the little things that matter on holiday. The lodge can sleep 4, and it may be a little bit of a push for 4 adults, just depends how much you like your own space. Will be booking again in the future.

When i booked this the photos looked great. When we arrived it was ten times better! Tucked away in hayle but close to everything it was a great base for our trip to explore cornwall. We drove but as the station is only 5 minutes walk away we went to a lot of places by train. The house is very modern and well appointed. Such a comfy bed! We only cooked once but there is everything you need in the kitchen. There are so many nice places to eat in the area! We are considering a return visit next year and have told all our friends about how great it was!

"A lovely well kept holiday home"

I have just returned from Oakley Lodge after staying for a week and have no hesitation in recommending it. The place was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need for a week away. The kitchen is very ample with fridge, washing machine and cooker and lots of cupboards, The bedroom is a good size with plenty of storage. The shower room is very well kept and serves it purpose. The living area is big enough to sit and relax after a day out. It is located close to the railway station in Hayle and also very close to a bus route (3.70 return from St Ives) . All local ammenities are very close by as well including cash machine, lovely Fish &Chips shop and a fabulous Bat called The Salt.

"Excellent accommodation."

We stopped here for a week and couldn't have been more happy with our surroundings. The place was very clean and tidy. It was very spacious and had a relaxing atmosphere with the open planned living area. It was fully equipped with everything you needed which was great. It is located in a central spot to Hayle so was great for local amenities. It was slightly too far away from the beach which we had to get to by car but for everything else it was ideal including catching the train to Penzance. Overall we had a lovely stay and would reccommend to friends and family.
