The Coppice has two double bedrooms with en-suite, twin rooms with adjacent private bathroom, one king size bedroom with large en-suite with separate shower and roll top bath and a spacious studio apartment with peaceful sitting area, ideal for a longer stay, which has all been designed to the highest standards.

Studio Apartment with King size bed, large flat screen TV and tea and coffee making facilities. It is light, modern and airy and has a comfortable sitting area with a double sized en suite shower.


This room lends itself to an extended visit and is set apart from the rest of the house, ideal for a romantic get away, honeymoon or special occasion. Prior arrangements can be made for additional flowers, champagne etc. to make your stay a memorable one. All prices are per room per night including full Scottish breakfast.

The flexible accommodation in the twin room is a new addition and provides two single beds, large flat screen TV. It is light, modern and airy and has a comfortable leather sofa with useful work space at a full size desk and swivel chair. It provides exclusive use of a bathroom immediately next to the room with bath and shower over. Additionally the bed can be quickly transformed into a super-king size.

The room lends itself to two friends sharing and single business guests providing ample workspace with internet access. It also can be quickly transformed into a super-kingsize bed by prior arrangement.

Nestled in the rolling hills of the Scottish Borders, The Coppice offers the discerning traveller four double bedrooms and a spacious studio apartment in which to retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The property was designed and built by the present owner to exacting standards to provide comfortable, homely and a welcoming family atmosphere.

The Borthwick Valley and the hamlet of Roberton arguably boast the most unspoilt valleys in the Scottish Borders with its vista of panoramic views, an abundance of wildlife and its magnificant unpolluted skies providing the perfect environment for exploring on foot, cycle or car. There is fishing nearby and also golf at The Woll, less than 5 miles away providing a beautiful clubhouse in which to relax after a round or two!

Centrally located for the Airports of Newcastle, Edinburgh and Carlisle approximately one hour away it is perfect for ease of access via the main A7 trunk road.

The Coppice is a family run guest house and this is reflected in the high standard and quality of the service provided.
