The Farmhouse at Le Petit Verger is located moments from the charming village of Hautefort with its majestic Loire-Valley style chateau. Le Petit Verger is close to many picture-postcard villages, sporting activities and scenic drives and wonderful restaurants.

The property is a charming haven of peace and quiet surrounded by lovely rolling hills with country views. Secluded and encompassing just under 4 acres, this idyllic spot takes its name from the little orchard of apple, plum and pear trees- punctuated by the odd walnut tree- throughout the property. There are many quiet, shady corners to sneak away and steel a nap during the day!

The Farmhouse is a comfortable and well-equipped take on country living, retaining many of its original features and exposed stone walls. A sympathetic update offers updated kitchen and bath facilities while maintaining an air of country charm. There are two bedrooms ( one and open dorm-style off the stairs), TV with DVD and a large video library, WiFi, family bathroom with shower over bathtub, and a complete kitchen with breakfast bar. The large wood-burning fireplace helps take the chill off cooler evenings. You can enjoy cooking your meals in the well-equipped kitchen, or enjoy dining outdoors with your own personal BBQ to enjoy your favourite "grillades" alfresco! The large covered porch has room to dine outside in the shade while enjoying the country views. If you find yourself with rainy days, board games can be found to entertain you.

We offer a large private pool with a full-sun position all day and plenty of sun loungers and deck seating. A miniature boules pitch and Badminton awaits you for those sultry evenings when game night beckons...

This idyllic, romantic retreat is the perfect spot to relax, unwind and enjoy the best of French rural living.

Prior to your arrival, you will receive guest arrival notes to help plan your visit. We can provide you with bike rental contacts who can deliver to the property free of charge. In additional to our local knowledge, The Bureau de Tourisme in Hautefort is excellent and very close by.

Small dogs will be considered with previous agreement. Pet owners must agree to pick up droppings after their pets A small fee will be charged per pet. Due to allergies by the property owner, cats are not allowed.
Le Petit Verger is in the countryside. There are farm animals- most especially cows that graze near our property. While this is a feature we truly enjoy and the majority of our guests love, if you have an objection to farm animals this may not be the right property for your holiday.

How do damage deposits work?

If Patrice (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
