Very Good

“Fabulous ski chalet - comfortable, cosy and clean.”

Reviewed 26 Sep 2014

We had a wonderful week in Chalet Belle Poncke. The chalet is modern but with plenty of Swiss charm. Ideal for a large party / 2 families sharing. Great facilities - the boot room is ideal to leave your ski stuff to dry out overnight without cluttering the rest of the chalet. Fabulous open plan living space with kitchen / eating area / lounge with delightful mountain views. Lighting the log fire was a perfect way to relax and enjoy some apres ski! Would highly recommend this property.

“Lovely traditional chalet with spectacular views”

Reviewed 26 Sep 2014

We spent an enjoyable new year at Chalet Belle Poncke. Our party of two families with teenage children had a very comfortable stay in the chalet. It is well appointed with everything needed for a family self catered ski holiday. I must say the internal photos on the website don't do it justice. The chalet is situated on the edge of the village, so a car is required to get to the ski lifts with all your ski gear. We are thinking of returning for a summer break walking the bisses and mountains around the beautiful Nendaz area. The outdoor pool and tennis courts (a 10 minute walk from the chalet) also appeal!

“Lovely Chalet in Great Location”

Reviewed 25 Sep 2014

We have now stayed at Chalet Belle Poncke half a dozen times and so I thought it was about time I got round to writing a review following our last visit. We have stayed at the chalet in both summer and winter and have always been delighted with the chalet and its location. CBP has a very homely feel with lots of touches which make you feel especially relaxed. The beds are very comfortable and the bed linen and towels good quality. The open plan kitchen/dining/living area is lovely and ensures that who-ever is on cooking duty isn't cut off from the rest of the party. This area opens up onto a large terrace which is a real sun trap in summer. CBP is a short walk (c15/20 minutes), or very short car drive, from Nendaz village which has a really good selection of bars, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and shops. The main cable car in Nendaz is open in the summer so you can easily get up the mountain for hiking/mountain biking etc. Alternatively you can drive to Siviez for more options to go up the mountain. In winter the ski area is huge and caters for every level of skier. I tried snow-shoeing on my last winter visit, which was fantastic. Summer or winter there is always lots to do in the area. The medieval town of Sion is just down the mountain and well worth a visit. Its clear to see that the owners of CBP take pride in it being a home from home for parties who rent it out, and I would highly recommend it.
