Waterside Lodge is the jewel in the crown of Hartland Forest Parc, which is set just off the Atlantic Highway between Bude and Bideford. The Parc is set in a 114 acre estate amidst unspoilt countryside and moorland yet on the edge of hundreds of acres of Forestry Commission woodland: The lodge has direct access to a well stocked carp lake too, whilst still being close to the spectacular heritage coast and contrasting inland scenery of beautiful North Devon and Cornwall. The area has miles of glorious coastline and enjoys a pleasant and healthy climate.

In a beautiful, peaceful location, which is secluded and offers uninterrupted views of a large lake and the countryside. Waterside Lodge is the pick of holiday destinations. It even has two private fishing stations just outside the back door! You may see woodpeckers, pheasants, squirrels, deer and an abundance of birds. (Will you spot the Kingfisher during your stay?)

This privately owned Scandinavian timber property has all the comforts and style for a superb holiday.

Ideal for families with its 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one ensuite), it caters for 6 in comfort, is very spacious and well equipped. The accommodation comprises an open plan lounge diner, kitchen, master bedroom, 2 further twin rooms and a family bathroom.

The wrap-around decking features a teak table and chairs, whilst lounger chairs and a barbeque are also available. The private extensive gardens are not overlooked, offer a comfortable relaxing area. The views are unmatched and you can catch the sun throughout the day. There is also a sundowner deck which overhangs the lake and is a perfect spot for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.

The lounge features 2 x 3 seater brown leather sofas, coffee table, 37 inch flat screen digital TV with digital recorder, a DVD player and a Bluetooth sound system which plays CDs or streams your music. Wifi is provided by mobile device with a 3G strong 5 bar reception. Usage is free (to a generous limit).

A modern and very well equipped kitchen with built in electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge, separate freezer, extractor hood, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, plus a full complement of cutlery, crockery, glasses, utensils, pots and pans.

The master bedroom has a brand new king size bed, dressing table, bedside drawers, full height wardrobe and a flat screen TV and DVD player. Attached is a contemporary ensuite bathroom.

There are 2 further bedrooms and a family bathroom. All bedrooms have wardrobes, bedside units and drawers/dressing tables. For the little ones there is a high chair and travel cot available.

Great leisure facilities, including indoor swimming pool, are available at nearby Penstowe Manor; temporary memberships can be purchased at very reasonable rates during your stay.

Only a small number of properties offer a real appeal to fishermen and their families. Waterside Lodge really ticks these boxes.

There is direct access to the fishing lakes and two fishing stations exclusively for Waterside guests' use. This lodge offers an access and fishing permit to The Clifford Water Fishery and Nature Reserve.

Fishing success is assured because the lakes have carp (up to 26 lbs), rudd, bream and trench.

So relaxing and a special choice for your fishing holiday. Out of the lodge, down the steps, and you're fishing. Brilliant!

There are beaches too which are perfect for all the family whether they want to partake in water sports or surfing, build sandcastles or just sunbathe.

Easily accessible to the west are the beaches of North Cornwall with Sandymouth and Bude's 3 terrific beaches: whilst travelling east the family are soon on the wide expanse of sandy beaches and enjoying the crashing waves at Westward Ho!, Instow, Saunton Sands, Croyde or Woolacombe Bay. As well as the beaches there are rocky headlands, wooded ravines and sparking waterfalls.

A family holiday at Waterside Lodge will deliver much more and this area has facilities whatever the weather.

Amongst the attractions are:

For the family - the adventure parks - The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, Diggerworld, and the Gnome Reserve.

For the adventurous - there are walks along the heritage coastline following the coast path: a visit to the country's only marine nature reserve - Lundy Island, which can be accessed by boat or helicopter: The National Parks, Exmoor and Dartmoor both offer rugged scenery and beautiful solitude: and in Bideford on the River Torridge is the Tarka Trail where the river can be followed upstream on the cycle track.

For the gardeners - RHS Rosemoor and The Eden Project are most-go's.

And for the town explorers and shoppers - Bideford, with the ever expending Atlantic Village Retail Outlet, Barnstaple, Bude, and much more.
