Enjoy excellent, clean, bright, quiet and spacious accommodation in lovely, highly regarded Oval location just a few minutes walk from Harrogate town centre. Elegant, comfortable 1st floor apartment with pleasing views from every room, classic features, sofa bed, front table & chairs, books, games, TV/DVD. Large, very well equipped dining kitchen & bathroom (with bath and separate shower). Freshly laundered linen, towels, soap, shampoo, basic welcome groceries provided. Free WIFI and on road parking.

Overview:

This really is an exceptional area with a beautiful wooded park opposite in full view of the sitting room window but only 5-10 mins walk from the Spa town centre with all the amenities you could possibly need? …... Fine delicatessens, boutiques, galleries, bars, cafes, restaurants, 24/7 gym with classes a mere couple of minutes walk away, great shops, cinemas including Everyman, theatre, library, supermarkets, Harlow Carr Gardens, Valley Gardens and of course the famous Bettys tearooms, to name but a few …….and all within very easy walking distance. Harrogate Parkrun (can recommend!) is a short jog to the starting line for runners, there are local swimming pools, spas, Turkish baths, cycling and tennis and squash courts nearby. Harrogate has been voted the happiest UK town to live for third year running so come and find out why! Tour de France Grand Depart venue 2014. Yorkshire Moors & Dales, including Bronte country very close-by and great for walkers, runners, cyclists and climbers. The Great Yorkshire Showground is within walking distance - 1.7 miles - approx. 30-32 mins. Harrogate Spring Flower Show is also held at the show ground and very popular amongst keen gardeners and horticulturists.

Guest Access:

A Masterlock combination key safe has now been installed for easy access after 4.00 pm. (Earlier access may be possible by arrangement if the flat is ready/cleaned for new occupation). The self-contained flat is yours alone for the duration of your stay. Guests will have access to the Oval gardens opposite where in the summer they can relax, have a picnic, read a book and enjoy the sunshine.

Getting around

The flat is within very easy walking distance to all public transport to major cities such as Leeds (15 miles) & York (22 miles) and the pretty historic market towns of Knaresborough (4 miles) & Ripon (13 miles). Leeds/Bradford Airport is only a 30 minute drive and there is an airport bus pick up stop just a few hundred yards from the flat. Taxis are available opposite Harrogate train and bus stations. There are numerous beautiful country walks, historic houses and places of interest around the Harrogate area such as the Yorkshire Dales & Moors, Ripley Castle, Fountains Abbey, Newby Hall, the Bronte Parsonage at Haworth for example. Car rental is available. Great Yorkshire Showground: 1.7 miles away - 30/32 mins walk.

However, if there are no guest departures on the morning of your arrival, it may be possible to arrive earlier - please check. Sorry no pets, parties or smoking. “Cosy and convenient”

We arrived in Harrogate on a wet and cold night in November so were delighted to find the flat was really warm and cosy. Very quiet location, yet only minutes from the shopping area and the Stray. Jillie was very prompt to assist when a new light bulb was required. All in all definitely recommend the flat and Harrogate itself.

How do damage deposits work?

If Jillie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
