From the owner

A detached 19th century converted coach house situated next to the owners property. The coach house is on Wetherby Road about 2 miles from the centre of Harrogate.

The property consists of a large kitchen diner with french windows onto an outdoor eating area and access to the owners garden, which guests are welcome to use. The well equipped sitting room provides a cosy space to watch TV. There is also a music centre and books/games for guests use.

A downstairs cloaks adds to guests convenience.

Upstairs houses a twin and double bedroom. Both have wardrobes, drawer units, bedside tables, reading lights and mirrors. All bedding and linen is provided.

The spacious bathroom has bath with shower over, wash basin ,toilet and a shaver point is incorporated.

It is upstairs that the true age and history of the building can be appreciated with the exposed beams and high ceilings.

Our versatile property can offer a practical base from which to explore the fabulous towns and sites of North Yorkshire.

Sited across the road from The Great Yorkshire Showground and Pavilions site we have many guests who find it an ideal stay when exhibiting.

Interaction with guest

We live next door in our own detached property. This means we can welcome guests personally and show them round the cottage on arrival. Guests are then able to ask questions and receive an initial and valuable introduction to us and the property. We then leave our guests to enjoy their stay with the knowledge that we will not disturb them but are available should the need arise. From past guests comments it appears that this arrangement works perfectly. We are able to offer, no charge, a cot, high chair and light weight buggy for guests use.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Olga (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
