From the owner

Welcome to our traditional Cornish cottage, at Harlyn bay, located in an area of outstanding natural beauty. We are a five minute walk from the beach across a private path, but also a short walk to Trevose Golf Club, and 4 miles from Padstow.

The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable.

Central heating and in addition the wood burning stove in the sitting room, mean a cosy stay what ever time of year you visit.

Both front and back gardens are sun traps. The back garden is great for alfresco breakfasts with fresh croissants from St Merryn or Constantine and barbecues in warm and sunny weather.

The coast path is easily accessed and offers great walks: eastwards towards Trevone and Padstow; and west to Trevose Head, Constantine and Treyarnon. Harlyn is a very family friendly beach. It is very popular with surfers, but also for young children with pools to play in, and little waves.

Our cottage has a well equipped kitchen, WIFI. There are 3 bedrooms- a double, twin and single ( two rooms have sea views). There is a family bathroom upstairs; and another bathroom with toilet only, downstairs. smart tv and dvd in the sitting room. A garage accommodates wet suits, boards etc.

We use a keysafe. We have a very friendly caretaker who helps everything run smoothly. We only live a few miles away, and have links to the area Successive guest comments in our visitors book since May 2019: ....Idyllic location a few weeks earlier this year front garden absolutely beautiful especially roses ....our fourth visit to Harlyn Cottage wonderfully relaxing as always ....the cottage and its location are idyllic ....our third time at Harlyn Cottage speaks volumes, another lovely holiday ....completely charmed by Harlyn Cottage- relaxed, enjoyed the beautiful garden, body boarded at Harlyn and Constantine... ...what another fabulous week...fun on the beach, surf lessons. We adore the cottage and adore Harlyn Bay.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Elizabeth (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
