“Miss”

Reviewed 8 Nov 2016

Fantastic house, all rooms big with lovely ensuites. The owner had left us a beautiful victoria sponge which was lovely. We had a view of the castle from the upstairs bedroom which was nice to wake up to. Pretty handy for the local pub....only 1 minute walk away. We visited portmeirion which was only a 20 minute drive. Overall great stay and would definitely book again.

“Perfect accommodation and location for large family group of four generations”

Reviewed 6 Jun 2015

Staying at Godre’r Graig and Tan y Graig, sitting at the atmospheric foot of Harlech Castle, turned out to be the perfect accommodation and location to captivate the English born contingent of the family with the outstanding enchantment and versatility of a holiday in North Wales. The beautifully furnished and presented properties with very well equipped kitchens exceeded expectations. With four generations in the party, spanning ages 6 to 83, Godre’r Graig and Tan y Graig proved suitable for everyone and all fell in love with the ambiance and ‘home from home’ feel of the properties. The location is ideal, with the long sandy beach easy to access on foot (perfect for watching the sunset), a small supermarket and station close by and a pub almost next door. If you don’t mind a hill it’s a short walk (or drive) up to the castle and the town. The situation is an excellent base from which to explore the wider area and there are enough attractions, outdoor adventures and walks to warrant many return visits. This was the first time away as a large family group and it was a huge success. Many thanks again for the warm welcome.
