Description

Situated in the quiet village of Harbertonford near Totnes, this simple home overlooks the Harbourne river on one side and rolling hills on the other, one of the things we love most about living here is the peace at night. Harbertonford is a lovely Devon village with a fantastic village shop and post office (all the basics plus organic fruit and veg, milk, tea and coffee). Only 20 minutes by car to the idillic Blackpool sands beach or 40 minutes up to Dartmoor.

The house has 2 double bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the other with a super king bed, plus a small extra bedroom with a cabin bed. There is a reasonable sized lounge with large corner sofa and wood burner. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher and newly fitted oak cabinets and worktops, again this is a reasonable sized room with a dining area and french doors at one end. The whole house is light and sunny.

Location description from owner

The Devon region

Devon sells itself! The landscape here is stunning and varied, unlimited beautiful beaches, the wild uplands of Dartmoor and the beautiful riverside locations. Characterful, historic pubs at every turn, delightful hedgerows and little quirky lanes - in the summer there is truly nowhere better to be.

Harbertonford

Harbertonford is ideally situated for trips to some of Devons most stunning beaches and within easy reach of the historic, vibrant town of Totnes for all your holiday shopping and rural entertainment needs. Dartmouth is a short 20 minute drive and Salcombe only 10 minutes further. Ashburton and Dartmoor are about half an hour away, and it is only 40 minutes to some of the greatest spots on the moors. From Harbertonford tere is a lovley walk throiugh the lanes and by the river to two of the loveliest pubs to hang out and eat at in the area - The Maltsers in Tuckenhay (best for food adn long River Valley views) and The Watermans, Bow Bridge (best for siting by the river with kids paddling as you sup).
