Very Good

“Villa Amelea”

Reviewed 31 Aug 2017

My family and I(6 in total) just returned from a trip to paphos and we had the pleasure to stay at villa Amelea. The villa was beautiful and we have no complaints about our stay there. The owners contacted us just before we got there and during our stay to make sure everything was alright. It felt comfortable and homely,it was clean with plenty of towels and lovely sheets. We spent most of our time at the villa in the pool which was large and although I was concerned about it not being a heated pool ,it didn't really matter at this time of the year as it was warm enough. There pool was well maintained and during our weeks stay ,the poolman was there 3 times. You definitely do need a car though as the villa is too far from the village to walk and I didn't notice aby buses running in the vicinity. If we decide to have another villa holiday in Cyprus, Villa Amelea will definitely be number one on our list.

“Very Nice Villa”

Reviewed 10 Feb 2014

We stayed for one week in early October last year. The directions from the airport made finding the place very easy. As well, the instructions on collecting the keys on pick up were very simple. The villa is large, very clean, with 3 big bedrooms, with the main one being en-suite. It has all the facilities you need for your stay (fully equipped kitchen, pool, TV, CD Player etc) and has some lovely views stretching down to the coast. The swimming pool is also a decent size and big enough to swim in, although it is not heated, which maybe ok in July/Aug but not really so in October. It is maintained by an outside contractor once/twice a week. The gardens, front and back, are kept in a very good condition and look lovely and there is also a table and chairs for outside dining. As the villa is set on a hillside developement outside of Paphos, close to Aphrodite Hills, a car is essential, as the nearest shops/restaurants are not within walking distance. However, with a car the nearest village (Kouklia) is a short 5 minute drive and Paphos around 15 mins. Kouklia is a lovely, Cypriot village and here you have a shop for all of your groceries and several very good Cypriot restaurants which offer good meals at a reasonable price. It is certainly, better to go somewhere like this for a feel of real Cyprus, rather than into Paphos for the larger, "chain" type restaurants. We preferred being outside of the main hub so that we could have the privacy, while at the same time, knowing that everything we needed was close by. We felt that this was a lovely place and a very good price and would recommend.
