La Soliniere is an 18th century domain, hidden away in the small village of Bouin. We are situated 4km from the historic market town of Chef Boutonne, in the heart of Poitou Charentes. The area is surrounded by beautiful sunflower fields and open countryside, an ideal tranquil setting for your holiday. There are several gites all situated around a central courtyard making it perfect for large groups who can socialise together.

LA COLOMBIER

With views over the lake and a traditional 4 poster bed, our tower provides the perfect setting for a romantic getaway. Separated from the main building, originally the gatehouse, it is ideal for those seeking seclusion. Traditionally French on the outside, modern on the inside, the tower boasts a charming lounge/diner with kitchen area, spiral staircase leading to the upstairs bedroom with luxury en suite.

LA MAISON DE JARDIN

Overlooking the courtyard garden, this large gite has 5 bedrooms (2 double/2 twin/1 bunk) and sleeps 10 people. The gite has a large lounge/diner with comfy settees and separate kitchen which includes dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge-freezer. This gite also has two modern bathrooms, one bedroom is situated on the ground floor and has a specially adapted shower-room/wc to cater for guests with a disability. Fully equipped and beautifully decorated La Maison de Jardin is spacious enough to get away from it all.

LA MAISON DU MORRONIER

Separated from the main building, the Maison du Marronier is perfect for the family who want to get away from it all. 3 bedrooms 2 doubles (en suites), 1 twin (shared bathroom) are elegantly furnished and provides the perfect setting for relaxing, overlooking our main courtyard. The large kitchen/diner is equipped with dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer. The Maison du Marronier has a shaded patio area for outdoor meals.

LA MAISON DE LA ROSARIE

La Maison de la Rosarie is studio apartment style gite, just for 2. This gite situated around the Charentaise courtyard enjoys the benefit of all the facilities at La Soliniere. You can swim in the heated pool, relax on the terrace, play tennis or boules.There is a small fishing lake or you can just relax in the grounds. Wireless internet accessible on-site.

WEST WING OF THE MAIN HOUSE. (extra cost if required)

For larger groups the west wing of the house can accommodate a further 4 people in 2 x double rooms. There is a shared bathroom / shower room and mezzanine seating area with tea and coffee facilities, but no kitchen.

The Gulf Stream brings a warm climate to the area as much sun as the Riviera. Summer is normally the best time for using the pool and sunbathing, with the rest of the seasons being the perfect time for exploring the surrounding countryside and towns.

Our accommodation is arranged around a Charentaise courtyard, set in a parkland of 5 acres with a petite etang carp lake. There are many activities to choose from to allow you to be as active or relaxed, social or private as you wish. These include our tennis court, swimming pool, sun terrace, boules court, etc.
