“Easter break in a lovely cottage”
We found the cottage so interesting and cosy once the fires were burning. Plenty of room for 8 people. Our grandchildren loved the cinema room and the garden. We loved the design of the cottage on 3 floors. Plenty of places to sit and relax. An excellent location to explore the area and further afield. We arived on Good Friday to find the hot water not working properly. But our host fixed it for us on Easter Sunday which can't have been easy to arrange. He also supplied us with extra logs which were very welcome as the weather wasn't brilliant.
“Lovely relaxing getaway”
The cottage was very well equipped and comfortable, the teenagers loved the cinema room, and games provided. Log fires were really cosy, loved our stay thanks
when we first arrived we noticed no hot water after emailing the owner to sort this we had a perfect holiday note no gas or oil heating only wood burners which I thought was cosy will recommend lovely cottage
Owner's reply: Thanks for the review. Glad u enjoyed ur break. I am constantly on the back of the local mp to try to get gas into tbe village. Until then. Its electric storage and log burner.
“Fantastic short break with the family.”
Had a lovely four night break in this quirky , cozy cottage. Lots of room for our large family to relax in. Lots of different spaces to retreat to in an evening. Everything we needed and more was provided (thanks for the wine X). A lovely enclosed garden where we enjoyed a barbecue. Freindly and informative neighbours. Lovely walks right on your doorstep. Lots to visit we went to open air swimming pool, Roman Museums and the railway in Alston. Thanks. X
Owner's reply: Thank you for the lovely review. Very much appreciated Regards Gary
“Fab house for a group holiday”
We had a great time staying at the coach house. There was plenty of space for us, our friends and their two girls and our little dog. The cottage was in a quiet countryside location with easy access to nearby attractions in either Northumberland or the northern Lake District. Great communication with the owner too. Really enjoyed our stay!
Owner's reply: Thank you for your kind words. Very much appreciated. Regards Gary
Lovely stay in northumberland. House was a good size and had lots of facilities. Nice to let dog into enclosed garden and enjoyed double ended bath.
“A Lovely Easter Break”
We were made to feel very welcome on our arrival at The Coach House. A wonderfully unique property that was well equipped and careful thought had been taken to ensure all ages were provided for. Beds were clean, comfy and roomy. We did find it very cold on our first night but this improved once we'd got the hang of how the heating system worked. Plenty of additional blankets were available to keep us warm though. In the winter months, probably a good idea to bring slippers and fleecy PJ'S. Due to the fires the place does get quite dusty, but this was expected. Note also for larger families additional pans would be beneficial. Although available we struggled with the small pan set (teenage bellies to fill!) Otherwise we had no complaints and returned home feeling well rested and refreshed. The surrounding area appeared remote but nearest town was within a 15 minute drive. Local beauty spots were definitely worth a look. We really enjoyed our weekend. Thankyou for having us.
