Very Good

“Short stay”

Reviewed 18 Oct 2020

Wychert Cottage was an excellent choice to stay for a few days as we were visiting friends in Aylesbury & Potters Bar. Everything was exactly as described and the accommodation was very comfortable. Thanks to John for a friendly welcome. We hope to come back another time as there is plenty of things to do in this area.

“Excellent as always”

Reviewed 5 Nov 2018

We are never disappointed with this lovely, comfortable cottage. Perfect location in a beautiful village. There is everything you need to self cater but also a choice of eating places in walking distance. It’s a great base for exploring the Midsomer Murder villages, of which Haddenham is one. Oxford is only 30 miles away and you can get the bus outside the cottage or it’s a very short drive to the railway station if you want to go by train. Thame is a good size village only a short drive away with lots of independent shops. This was our 4th visit and we will be back.

Owner's reply: Thank you very much for a great review Ruth.

“Beautiful cottage in a lovely village.”

Reviewed 15 Aug 2018

We had a wonderful stay at Wychert Cottage in Haddenham. This is a beautiful cottage right in the centre of Haddenham, next to a bakery, a 200-300 m walk to the closest grocery store. Around the corner from a very cosy pub, the Rising Sun and about 100 m from Little Italy Espresso bar, who serves a very nice breakfast/lunch. The owners of the cottage, John and Ailsa are the perfect hosts. We stayed here for two weeks and the cottage had everything that I could've needed, it felt like home. My husband and I loved walking the little streets/lanes and explore the village. The bus stop is also just around the corner...I don't think even a 100 metres. You can take the bus from here to Aylesbury with a short bus-drive of ± 20-25 min where you will find a lot of shops and anything else you might need. I can definitely recommend this cottage to anyone.

Owner's reply: You were great guests, thank you very much for the lovely review.

“Amazing place to stay.”

Reviewed 31 Jul 2017

If you are lucky enough to have come across this beautiful cottage....then book up! My family had a week in this extremely well equipped home from home. Comfortable surroundings with room for four. kitchen had everything you need to cook including extra items like cafeteria, cool bag and flask! Thoroughly stock information booklets, maps WiFi for checking the British weather. Jigsaws, games and dvd's for a wet day. Walks locally, play park in the town, shop and plenty of local days out for a family (or a couple!) to entertain themselves. Private parking and extremely friendly, helpful hosts. We had a wonderful time just chilling in the relaxing ambiance of the cottage.

“Perfect Holiday Home”
