The penthouse apartment overlooks the driving range and 1st tee. The low density of build on the site means lots of space and privacy.

The closest large communal pool is just 150 metres away, and is usually empty most of the time. Any of the pools around the complex can be used.

The grounds are pleasant and safe to walk or play in.

The area is security fenced and patrolled, so is very safe.

The 18 hole course is one of the best in the area, getting great reviews from golfers of all abilities.
Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort has the Woodhouse bar/restaurant and well stocked supermarket on resort.

One of the only drawbacks has been its popularity – large expatriate communities have grown on the Costa Blanca (Torrevieja and Benidorm to name a couple) and have pushed out some of the local Spanish culture and flair. While familiar company is many people's cup of tea, some of you are looking for a genuine Spanish life in Spain. And that is where Murcia comes in.

Despite having all of the Costa Blanca's attributes, Murcia has largely and mysteriously passed under the radar of most foreigners. This means living here gives you the chance to have a true taste of Spain. Enjoy the food, learn to speak the language, explore mountain villages or simply float in Europe's largest (and perhaps most sublime) salt-water lagoon.

The coastline of Murcia is characterised by its sandy beaches. The most beautiful natural wonder on the coast is the Mar Menor. It is a shallow lagoon or pool, which is the largest of its kind in Spain. The water in the lagoon is very salty and maintains a hot temperature (5ºC above the average Mediterranean temperature). It has four openings or passages that lead to the sea.

From a tourist point of view, Spain and Murcia itself offer you a huge amount of interesting places to visit as the history of the city goes back to the years 800 where it was originally founded as part of Cordoba. Certainly amongst the famous visiting points for any traveller is the Cathedral de Santa Maria. Finished in the 15th century the cathedral is the most impressive monument of Murcia.

The city is divided by the Segura River and is known for its beautiful Baroque Cathedral, Almudi Palace and the castle of Monteagudo (where the Arab influence can be well appreciated), a fortress from the 11th c., the Market de Veronicas, the Malecon Garden, the University of Murcia and the Museum Ramon Gaya.

1 km from the town of Sucina. There is a good mix of traditional Spanish shops and restaurants with an English supermarket. Bodega serves the best steaks ever and Emma's cafe dishes are really high class cuisine.

Just 15 minutes, by car, from the beaches, marina and sea front attractions of Santigo de la Ribera or Los Alcázares.

Lo Pagan with its natural mud baths, windmills and beaches is worth a visit.

Don't forget the mediterranian beaches, just north of the MarMenor. They are vast stretches of golden sand with few people on them, mostly Spanish at the weekends. There's even a nudist beach, if you fancy!

The Hacienda's challenging course forms part of the Orillas del Mar Menor , and is located in a beautiful, unspoilt area bordering a protected national park. The resort is well connected to the main highway that links the city of Murcia and the coastline of the Mar Menor and the airport of San Javier.

The golf resort next door has an excellent bar and restaurant and is welcoming to Hacienda visitors. They run horse riding excursions as well.

“Fab apartment in a great location!”

A lovely two bed penthouse apartment. We arrived to a very clean, well presented apartment. We were delighted at its close proximity to the Hacienda with its restaurants and bars. The large outdoor sun terrace was overlooking the driving range with pleasant views. We totally appreciated the folding sun canopy to get some shade whilst eating lunch! The apartment next door was uninhabited, which was good news as it may have been a bit close for comfort as the terraces are only separated by a 3ft wall. The air con in the apartment was great, especially having in both bedrooms as well as the lounge. The wifi was excellent and kept the teenagers very happy! The kitchen was well stocked and the utility area is a great bonus giving the kitchen extra space! Underground parking and a lift meant that carrying shopping was problem free and the car was kept nice and cool. We used the free weekend shuttle bus to go to the local village of Sucina where we enjoyed the 'Ilovesucina' festival with live music and a great atmosphere, which was great as we didn't need to drive. We'd recommend a visit to the free mud baths at a local beach (Lo Pagan??) and enjoyed trips to Torrevieja and the brilliant beach at Campomanor where the kids love the sea with its crashing waves and sea inflatables! All in all, a fantastic holiday that we would definitely recommend! No doubt we'll be back!

“Lovely apartment great location on complex”

We had stayed on the complex previously in another apartment in May enjoyed it so much we decided we would like to return as it was so relaxing and easy to get to from the airport. We stayed for 7 days in July 2016 the facilities in the apartment were great and the position is perfect for the shop and bar.

A superb Penthouse that has high quality fixtures and fittings, well managed and mainained/cleaned, and ideally situated. We visited Mid Jan thro' February and although dry, sunny days the evenings can be quite cold but the apartment was very snug thanks to the central heating. Due to location a car is a must and good secure parking is offered, well stocked onsite supermarket (with reasonable prices), and nearby village of Sucina has a good variety of bars/restaurants. The use of a lift was handy for carrying heavy shopping etc, and the WiFi was fast and reliable, plenty of inhouse entertainment was provided. As "matured travellers" with many apartment rentals behind us 19 Atlantico takes some beating, a real credit to its proud owners, strong recommendations.

“Fantastic apartment - a real home from home”

Have just returned from a weeks stay in this apartment. Our 2nd visit to a Polaris World complex (La Torre being the other one) and this was definitely our favourite. The complex buildings are well spaced out from each other, making you feel less like you're in a 'resort' and more like you're in an actual village. The complex has a number of restaurants, a couple of bars and a small supermarket (similar size to a local convenience store in the UK). It's a fantastic central base for the Murcia area; located approx 15 min drive to San Javier Airport and about another 10 mins gets you to the beaches of the Mar Menor. Murcia and Cartagena are also only approx 30 mins drive and we also found a great scuba dive centre at La Manga club approx 30 mins away. We were greeted by Dave from the management company who was really helpful in informing us about the resort and showing us around the apartment. We arrived quite late in the evening and were grateful we'd been able to pre-arrange a 'welcome pack' (for a small fee) which was basically our pre-advised shopping list waiting for our arrival. We also found plenty of cleaning products were available for use. The apartment was excellent - immaculately clean, light, comfortable and equipped with everything you could possibly need both inside and out. Free open space WiFi is provided and the owners even give you use of their own laptop. There are lightweight chairs for use by the pool and an awning and parasol to provide some shade on the terrace. It's an end apartment and has some great views from all aspects, especially the sunset from the front terrace off the bedrooms. Although not directly overlooking the pool, it is within view from the front terrace and is literally a 2 minute walk from the entrance. The old Hacienda with it's facilities is approx a 3-4 minute walk away. I think it's one of the best situated apartments on the resort (at the top of Phase 5 if you look on the resort's plan) offering a quiet / private spot but within very easy reach of the main facilities. The resort itself was very quiet with a number of apartments unoccupied (although I think this is typical of a Polaris World resort) but this does mean there was always plenty of room in and around the pool! Over the weekend there was entertainment on in the Town Centre which you can hear from the rear terrace - but it was not on too late and you could barely hear it when inside the apartment. The roof terrace was a great size with fabulous views of the sunrise and is seperated by a small wall to the adjacent appartment which had it been occupied, the terrace would not have been totally private but potentially a great area if 2 families were utilising both apartments. The owners were excellent in helping us arrange our visit, being very flexible and prompt in responding to any questions we had. Overall, a superb apartment, great value for money and we would definitley like to return to it!

“Comfortable and spacious penthouse apartment”

The apartment was an excellent choice for our two week stay in April. My wife is disabled and the underground parking was very convenient right next to the lift and would be suitable for a wheelchair. The lift stops next to the apartment door. Once inside everything was on one level and my wife had no problems moving around. The apartment was well equipped and extremely comfortable. We hope to return next year.

We have had three visits to this apartment over the last year and cannot fault the standard or location. The apartment is very well appointed, being light and airy, offering excellent views over the Golf practice facilities and first fairway. The main terrace is well positioned for all day sun whilst the rear sheltered terrace offers good westerly views. Very convenient for the Hacienda / on-site shop facilities and whilst there is no immediate swimming pool, there are two pools nearby. The owners have been very cooperative with the rental arrangements and we would highly recommend this apartment to anyone seeking holiday/short term vacation.
