Location description from owner

The England region

Devon is Great Britain’s third biggest county and has a wide range of landscapes. From the moors to the seaside sand dunes, from the buzzing cities to the sleepy coastal towns and villages, Devon can provide an all-round holiday experience. The cities of Exeter and Plymouth both provide a delightful combination of rich heritage and modern excitement. All the coastal towns have lively harbours and local produce so you can have the real Devon experience.Devon is also home to two national parks. Dartmoor in the south and Exmoor in the north both provide wonderful walks for the lovers of wildlife and the countryside. So with two coastlines, two national parks, and two cities, there are how many reasons not to visit Devon? That’s right, none!

Haccombe

Formally known for it’s excellent ship-building and fishing industries, Shaldon is located at the mouth of the river Teign. With it’s narrow side-streets and Georgian architecture Shaldon has all the qualities of a tradition British coastal village.Dubbed as “The best little zoo in the west” you can also visit the Shaldon Wildlife Trust which is home to many small animals and can provide an entertaining and informative day out for all.Every year, towards the end of August, the village plays host to the Shaldon Regatta. This annual spectacle features crews from all around Devon and Cornwall taking part in races and plenty of other amusing activities in and around the village.
