Description from owner

Description

The Copperhouse was originally constructed as an administrative centre for the copper mines and it is said that the world copper price was set from here each morning.

It also features a huge iron clad strongroom now granted Mining World Heritage status. The parish of Gwennap was once said to be “the richest couple of square miles in the world.” With the decline of Mining in the mid to late 1800's The Copperhouse reverted to a Country House, originally part of the Burncoose Landed Estate with the Chelsea award winning nurseries adjacent.

Further details outdoors

Outside there is a raised slate paved patio area with cast iron tables, chairs and a barbeque. This area is also lovely in the evenings as we have multi-coloured outdoor string lights for guests' use.

The England region

Cornwall is Britain's most popular holiday destination with miles and miles of beautiful coastline. It's the perfect destination for walkers with countless tracks to explore. Surfers visit from the world over the world class beaches.

There are plenty of places of interest including beautiful gardens and the world renowned Eden Project.

Cornwall is the southern most county in England and enjoy a warm and sunny climate. With Mild winters, you really can visit at any time of year.

Gwennap

Now granted Mining World Heritage status, the parish of Gwennap was once said to be "the richest couple of square miles in the world. This idyillic rural position is set vaguely in the centre of a triangle between Truro - Falmouth - Redruth with the beaches of the South Coast 5 miles, the North Coast 8 miles and Lands End 20 miles, making it perhaps one of the best central positions for visiting the whole of Cornwall.
