Description

A boutique beach house featured in COAST magazine (see photos) offering simple, comfortable and chic living, set over 2 floors with a multitude of sunny outside spaces and decks with sea views, set in the sought after area of old Gurnard just yards from the sandy beach.

The ground floor consists of a compact but smart and well equipped kitchen including gas cooker, fridge freezer, dishwasher and a good mix of crookery, glasses, cutlery and cooking equipment, a good sized lounge diner with lounge seating and dining seating for 4, and access via french doors to the main deck area, where there is outside dining/seating for up to 8.

Downstairs (the stairs are steep, more like a boat!) is a double bedroom with lower deck access, a bunk room (2 single bunks) with a feature skylight, A family sized bathroom with walk in shower, and a lounge area with TV (no TV signal) and DVD player.

Outside are a number of deck areas front side and rear suitable for outside dining or just relaxing and soaking up the sun and sea views, or just watching the world go by. In the outside room area under the building there is a washing machine and an additional toilet.

The property has been extensively modified and improved over the last few years and is decorated to a tastefully high standard with unique contemporary flair, and offers a great space for a modern relaxing beachside lifestyle.

A minutes stroll away is the Waters Edge beach cafe, the yacht club and the Woodvale Pub, and 5 mins stroll in the other direction Gurnard village with a small number of local shops and another pub.

Approx 10-15 mins walk along the scenic coast road is the international yachting village of Cowes with its lively mix of shops, bars and cafes with numerous activities most of the year round (the world famous Cowes Week for one) but dont forget the rest of the stunning island either as there are many all year round events and festvals including music (Isle of Wight festival/Bestival) arts, crafts, motoring, cycling, camping, campervaning, caravaning, scooters and food etc, all within easy striking distance.

Check in is after 4pm and check out is before 10am
Due to the open and steep stairs and uneven thresholds this property is NOT suitable for unsupervised children, the elderly or infirm.
No children under 5 years old
No smoking anywhere within the property.
No pets.
No over occupancy.
No Stag or Hen parties.
The barbeque may ONLY be used in its allocated space, never on any of the wooden areas.
If you use the barbeque you are required to clean it!
Before vacating the property please wash and put dishes and pots away etc.
Breakages will be charged for.
Please respect our property and the peace of our neighbours.
All rubbish/waste to be removed upon leaving the property.

“A lovely place to relax”

A very well presented and comfortable beach house. A lot of time and effort has gone into this holiday home and it shows. Situated in a very convenient and quite location it is within a short walk to the beach.

This is the second time we've stayed at this charming beach house. we came with two teenagers and the nearness to the beach is perfect. We all enjoy the bracing walk into Cowes with its good selection of interesting shops, cafes, and restaurants, and its great for crabbing too. We visited Freshwater which was great for swimming, and a trip to Ryde and Seaview, both interesting places to wander around. The house has everything we need and has become a firm favourite for us all. Lets hope we can stay again next year.

The family stayed here over the May/ June half term and we had a great time. The beach house is beautiful, well equipped and always felt welcoming and cheerful-even on those rainy days. Lots of lovely walks & Woodvale pub was always busy with good pub grub. Also had Wifi - a must for teenagers. Loved it, would book again.

How do damage deposits work?
