Description

A beautiful cedar clad beach house right on the waters edge. The house is built to an extremely high quality and environmental standard. As it is highly insulated it is a very cosy stay during the winter months as well as sunny in the summer months with cool sea breezes to enjoy.The house comprises 1 double bedroom and 1 bunk bedroom.On the ground floor there is a kitchen living room that opens out onto a deck looking over the Solent. There is also a wet room/WC downstairs and the bedroom with bunks has its own glass covered deck.On the first floor there is a lounge with veranda looking out to sea. In addition, there is a bathroom/WC and the master bedroom.The house has oak floors throughout with underfloor heating.The house is triple glazed, with solar water heating, rain water recovery for the toilet flush and heat recovery ventilation ensures maximum comfort with minimum impact.The pictures include some furniture that has since been changed as this was our family home.The house

Gurnard Sailing Club is 10 minutes walk along the beach and has regular sailing events and training.The Isle of Wight offers a large range of high quality cycling terrain. Gurnard

On arrival via Red Funnel into East Cowes you will immediately pass a Waitrose supermarket should you need to get supplies prior to arrival at Little Sailing. Cowes town centre offers two supermarkets: The Coop and Sainsbury's Local. In addition, there is a very good butcher (Hamiltons), fishmonger (Phillips Fish Shop) and excellent fruit & veg shop called Ginger at the top of the high street near Sainsbury's. Anyone staying at Little Sailing will enjoy the outside life with BBQ's on the deck while watching plenty of activity on the water with locals sailing, windsurfing and water skiing. The local amenities include one cafe "The Waters Edge" to the east, open everyday 9am to 5 pm except Tuesdays, a ten minute walk along the beach at low tide. Otherwise enjoy a delicious meal at the popular restaurant The Little Gloster opened in July 2010 which is a 5 minute walk to the west, making a reservation is recommended during high season.Cowes and all its shops and restaurants is only a ten minutes drive away, 20-30 minute cycle or 45 minute walk. The village of Gurnard also has an '8 till 8' Nisa Local general food store, two pubs and a church. As well as the beach one can enjoy walks over the headland or a ten minute drive will get you to the leafy Parkhurst Forest.Other pleasures to enjoy include: tennis and swimming at Gurnard Pines, riding at Cockleton Lane Stables and crabbing at the River Luck and the new playground behind the beach huts at Gurnard seafront.For the children there is a local play farm/activity centre just a ten minutes drive away. In addition, Newport the main town on the island is only 15 minutes drive where there is a Cineworld.
