Gurnard Marsh is an area on the north shore of Isle of Wight just to the west of Cowes. It is an ideal location for many different types of visitors including families, walkers and ramblers, cyclists and dinghy sailors. It has long been a popular holiday spot with rows of beach side chalets dating back to the 1920's, but now most of the old rail carriages and timber chalets have now gone. The replacement buildings are built to today's standards but designed to be in keeping with the beach side chalets they replaced.

"Fantastic holiday let in brilliant location"
We had a fantastic stay at Seawinds. The accommodation is lovely and very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped and came with lots of bits and pieces that many self catering properties do not. The location is great, right on the beach and close to Cowes. The owners are helpful and friendly and we definitely hope to be back there soon!

"Lovely property - perfect location"
We stayed at Seawinds for four nights at the end of June/beginning of July. This is a very well kept and well equipped property. The decor is contemporary and has a light and airy feel. We took along the usual bits and pieces you take to a self catering property and needed hardly any of them - a lot of thought has gone into providing everything you need - even down to a welcome pack of some local produce, tea, coffee fresh milk etc. The back garden is secluded and fully enclosed - ideal for the toddler we had with us to run around in safety. Lovely view from the front of the property across the sailing club compound to the Solent and the New Forest. Carl, the owner, lives just down the road and was very to keen to ensure we had all that we needed. A perfect few days.

"A highly recommended seaside location"
Had a lovely stay at Seawinds. We loved the sea view from the stable door. It was a comfortable, well kept house, a true home from home. Highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the gorgeous Seawinds. Found everything we need in the house. Luckily this place had super-fast broadband as we had so many devices connected to wi-fi. Good location as well. The owner is really helpful. Would visit again.

"Fabulous Festival Stay!"
a warm and friendly welcome from the accomodation owners awaits as well as basic provisions and Isle of Wight fudge and organic juices! Beautifully presented accommodation which is very clean and welcoming. Wi-fi is a welcome addition. We had a fabulous stay and couldn't fault the accomodation - we will be back!

Our trip in August 2013 was our second time staying at Seawinds and the second time we had our hearts stolen away by this stunning property situated in an idyllic corner of the Isle of Wight. Clean, comfortable and well equipped, the property is perfectly located just yards from the sea, great for crabbing and affording beautiful views over the Solent, especially the sunsets. The owners, Carl and Michele, are very welcoming and helpful, from offering to arrange our ferries to providing a much appreciated welcome pack of wine, chocolate and local beer! On arrival and throughout our stays, they always went out of their way to ensure we were settled and had everything we needed. Great property, lovely location, fabulous owners, perfect!

"Seawinds is a great base to see the Island and to come home to such comfort is a bonus!"
Carl and Michelle made us feel very welcome as soon as we arrived at Seawinds, which was dead on 2pm (the time we were allowed in the property), everything was clean, and very much like a home from home with lovely little touches. The view from the front of the property is great as you get to watch all the local folks taking their boats out, and in the evenings the sunsets are gorgeous! Everyone in our experience was really friendly on the Island and we would definitely recommend the IOW to friends and most definitely Seawinds as a place to stay.
