“Lovely apartment”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2015

This is a lovely apartment on a small quiet complex. Spacious, clean, modern, nice furniture, plenty of storage, nice kitchen, bedrooms are large and nicely decorated. Three balconies, the best off the living room and looks over the bay, beautiful view. The pool is large and just a minute away, the pool area is spotless and plenty sunbeds, room for everyone, although it never got busier than ten people around the pool. We arrived just before a local festival, swimming races , boat racing, a local market set up just for the weekend. A small supermarket is five minutes away on foot of there's a large one in town. There's a new marina being built just outside the complex, the apartment will look over it , will look fabulous when it's finished. The weather was roasting, even at night, but the apartment has air con that works very well. The bars and restaurants are first class and inexpensive. Gulluk is a small town and friendly, seems popular with mostly Turkish people in on holiday, and that made it feel special. The dolmus stops right outside and will take you into town in about five minutes. Or a taxi will come and collect you for 10 lira. The apartment, facilities and area are wonderful, Highly recommended.

“excellant Apartment”

Reviewed 23 Jun 2013

Just returned from Beach Residence J3 apartment. We thought it was great. The apartment was probably one of the biggest we have stayed in. The apartment was very well equipped with good facilities in the kitchen. It was nice to use an apartment which is also used by the owners,as there was nice personal touches throughout .Maria was a great host and kept us well informed throughout the booking process. The apartment is part of a small complex outside the village. It has shared use of an excellent swimming pool which was rarely busy. We used to walk to a nearby hotel (Med Inn) to use their beach facilities although there is a beach over the road from the apartment which we also used. We walked back and forward to the village on a night time to eat in one of the several good restaurants available. There were taxis if walking is a problem, (10tl) and also dolmus run back an forward which run more frequent from middle of June onwards. We would highly recommend this apartment.

“An ideal authentic Turkish holiday in Gulluk,”

Our apartment was beautiful ,spacious and furnished luxuriously.we had everything we needed, the views from the balconies were heavenly and the best part of my day was to sit in peace there every morning and evening. The pool was stunning beautiful and always warm enough for me to get straight in ,something I'm not known for doing! Gulluk is a very small ,genuine working fishing village and we loved it . We made great friends with the locals ,had fabulous sea swimming and boat trips ,topped by a wonderfully peaceful and comfortable apartment to go home to ...we will definitely be back.

“Everything you meed in a great location”

Reviewed 24 Jun 2012

My husband & I stayed at Beach Residence, Gulluk with another couple. We really liked Gulluk and found it to be primarily a little fishing port and not overly touristy. Very close to the airport (although no noise disturbance) Gulluk is well placed to visit the Bodrum peninsula or travel in other directions. The apartment was easily found just a few minutes drive out of town and very close to a little beach. Obtaining the key required a phonecall when we arrived (which could have been a problem if we didn't have one with us that could be used abroad) and the chap arrived within a couple of minutes. The apartment was clean and tidy when we arrived and everything was in good working order. Good sized bedrooms (one double and one with twin beds with the standard Turkish firm mattresses!) with a good air conditioning system in each and a shower/toilet for each room. The kitchen had most items you would expect to find including a dishwasher and washing machine. Although the gas bottle ran out in the middle of the week, the management company had it replaced within 30 mins of our notifying them! We didn't use the balcony as much as we would normally on holiday as it was too hot outside for much of the time (34 - 40C) but the full size pool was great . WiFi was available but required us to take our laptop & iPad into the management company's office so they could note the details of each. The apartment complex was generally very quiet with no disturbance of any sort experienced. Not very suitable for people with mobility problems as there are 2 flights of steps to the apartment and then 3 flights to get to the pool. As it is out of town there isn't much in the way of shops or restaurants within walking distance either. Communication with the owners was always friendly, helpful and promptly responded to. We enjoyed our week very much and would stay here again.

“Lovely location and spacious apartment”

Reviewed 7 Jun 2012

The apartment was spacious and comfortable and the balcony faced toward the beach. Outside pool was fantastic and a perfect time of year to be in Turkey. Not crowded. Even though there is transport to and from Bodrum via bus, service was not regular during time of year so definitely suggest hiring a car if you intend staying into the night in Bodrum. Gulluk is a lovely little town & a hidden gem away from busy Bodrum. Highly recommended.

“Home from home”

Reviewed 20 Oct 2011

My husband and my 2 teenage daughters had a fantastic time in Gulluk. The apartment was tremendous! Really nicely decorated and very well furnished. It had great sea views and we enjoyed a relaxing drink most evenings on the balcony watching the sunset before heading off into town to enjoy dinner at one of the many resteraunt. The pool is amazing and again great views of the sea. If your not a pool person, the apartment is right by the sea and there are lots of small beaches with beach bars on the doorstep. We visited Bodrum a few times, which we really enjoyed. That said there is plenty to do if you just want to stay local, including boat trips, windsurfing, markets etc. Really great place to holiday!

“A luxury, spacious apartment in an authentic Turkish fishing village”

Reviewed 13 Sep 2011

We spent an idyllic week here in September and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The apartment is spotlessly clean and comfortable with lots of little extras which make it feel like home. Gulluk is a delight - it was our first trip to Turkey and it was a wonderful experience. Lots of lovely restaurants - good quality food at very reasonable prices. Can recommend the sea bass! One complaint - a week was not long enough!!

“Beautiful and charming place to stay.”

Reviewed 19 Aug 2011

Very relaxing by the pool so take a good book!. You can eat in or out, and there are loads of lovely cafes varying from cheap with good food to a lovely seaside restaurant with good service. Some fab bars to watch the sun set! A car is a must to explore the fantastic villages, coves and beaches. This is just a perfect location to stay and explore.

“Perfect for anyone wanting a quiet holiday in a beautiful appartment”

Reviewed 28 Jul 2011

We had a brilliant, relaxing time in Gulluk and the apartment was amazing. The realty company handling our transfers couldn't have been more helpful, especially considering we needed to change things last minute, and we found everyone in the apartments really friendly. Gulluk itself was quite quiet but Bodrum was only a bus ride away and that suited us perfectly for boat trips and days out. Would really recommend this apartment.
