The Turkish Aegean Coast region
Güllük, is a small harbor town with own municipality within the district of Milas, situated north of Bodrum. It is a small Turkish town and growing holiday destination, with the town being pleasantly developed with a range of tourist amenities. The Town centre is typically Turkish, with a wide range of restaurants being dotted along the waterfront. A yachting marina is being developed, as are a number of beaches. For some time Gulluk has been a popular stopover for tourists sailing the Blue Cruise tour. There are buses connect Güllük to Milas and Bodrum to Gulluk Fishing Village. Gulluk is a peaceful, quiet fishing village with a number of restaurants and cafes serving locally caught fish, primarily sea bass and bream. Gulluk has several supermarkets and local shops selling fresh local produce for those wishing to indulge and enjoy home cooked meals in the privacy of their own penthouse. The free Horizon Sky private water taxi is based in the harbour and provides regular trips across the bay to the resort for all visitors.
The Penthouse is situated with in the Horizon Sky resort which can be reached by road, approx. 50 minutes drive from the airport or Horizon Sky's boat from Gulluck, (free to guests) a local fishing village. Once at Horizon sky there is a small local shop for daily essentials but it is advisable to shop in Gulluck in there supermarkets and local markets as these offer a full range of local and European food & drink.
Eating out - there are a number of bars and restaurants in Gulluck (Via boat) but if you do not want the boat ride each day there is a beach restaurant 10 minutes drive away and the owners offer a pick up and drop off service. There is also a lovely little bar/restaurant on the marina, staff will take you to the bar by request in one of the vehicles used to take you to and from the marina when catching the boat although it is only a 10 minute walk.
Horizon Sky are hoping to open a small snack bar by the pool this year. I will update the site when I have more information.

"A relaxing week of sunshine"
We stayed at the apartment with family for a week in June. It's been furnished and finished absolutely beautifully - very clean and modern with a touch of luxury (especially the hot tub on the balcony!). Comfortable, excellent air conditioning and equipped with everything you could need. The complex itself is also of a high standard; although not completely finished, we found at least 2 pools (one of which was empty apart from us so lovely and quiet) and the bar/snack bar/restaurant is great - we ate there several times for lunch and dinner and the food was really nice, plus the staff are friendly and helpful. As per the review below, the beach bar and beach itself had also just been finished and opened as we were leaving so even more to enjoy. Essentials (water, milk, bread) are available from the bar area on the complex and there's another small supermarket just outside, however I'd definitely recommend going to the market in Gulluk if you can - the fruit and veg is beautiful and so cheap, and there are a few other supermarkets in the village for other supplies. The free boat across to Gulluk was brilliant - quite regular, very easy to get to (the resort staff will drive you down to the jetty) and it's a really enjoyable trip - much preferred to a normal taxi! Quite a lot of restaurants in Gulluk itself too - we particularly loved Berkhan (right in front of you as you get off the boat - owners lovely, food gorgeous) and the Broken Barrel is great for a drink (really nice cocktails!). Overall a great holiday in lovely surroundings :)

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at this fabulous appartment. It is as stunning as the photos show.It is luxurious and has everything that you need.As we had an afternoon flight we chose to travel from the airport totally by road, especially as I am not a brilliant sailor. This took about an hour as it was on country roads. We returned by the boat and road route which was much better. When we arrived at the complex we were taken straight to the appartment. The next day I braved the boat to Gulluck!! It was fabulous.Gulluck is a lovely Turkish village with quite a few bars and restaurants. There are supermarkets and on certain days a market. You can get basic foods from the complex, and there is a small supermarket just outside. There are several pools at the complex. The main one has a bar and you can get food which is very good.We used the pool which is on the same level as the appartment most days as it was higher and had a breeze. The complex is quite steep but it has vans and buggies which drive you around. There is building work going on but it didnt disturb us at all.Whilst we were there they opened the beach and beach bar.The people are all very friendly and cant do enough for you. I cannot recommend this place highly enough especially if you want a chilled holiday which is a bit different.I have already told loads of friends about it.We will certainly be returning.
We are glad you had a good time in Turkey, thank you for writing a review and your wonderful comments. Thank you

"Best Holiday Ever. Views Spectacular."
We stayed at the penthouse for a week, it was pure relaxation with friends, it was so peaceful and tranquil. The Penthouse was so spacious with all the amenities you would ever need, all being of the highest quality. The views were breath taking, you almost felt as if you didn't need to leave the penthouse at all. There was a friendly and welcoming feeling from staff and other guests and the courtesy boat was a lovely way to visit the local fishing village of Gulluck. We will most defiantly be booking again next year, I think we will do 2 weeks next time!
